U/B Control with Tez and Training Grounds?

Not sure if anyone has explored this yet,

but using Tezzeret, Agent of Bolas to turn artifacts into creatures means you can use Training Grounds to massively reduce their activation costs.

Just chuck a deck together, working off U/B control, haven't considered other artifacts yet.

Do you think it has any viability? suggestions?

I think what he means by too cute, is that turning them into 5/5 creatures is already a pretty viable condition to work with. If you are turning an artifact into a creature just to make its ability activation cost cheaper, than you are turning that artifact into a creature for the wrong reason.

I mean, when I get 5/5's from Tezz. I just want to beat down.

Maybe in EDH, or 2HG casual games this may be fun. But in general standard play it seems a little bit convoluted to work with.

Which is the same as, too cute I think.

Ahhh I see what your saying.

I was mainly trying to make the most viable way to use the traning grounds / spawnsire combo, and everything just fell into place all around it.

Theemptyquiver has a pretty good point. I agree more versatility is a plus, but if I had a 5/5 there are few situations where I'd want to pay two and tap him to proliferate. I enjoy the fresh take on a Training Grounds combo, but levelers are just made for that that card.
