Veiborn Ghoul Interactions
Deck Help forum

Is it worth building a deck around cards that interact well with Veilborn Ghoul
and i'm thinking things like Lotleth Troll ... Pack Rat ... Sphinx of the Chimes and a bunch of mill cards/Farseek effects...
I wouldn't want the deck to be combo-centric and i'm not sure if the idea would be better off in a control shell or an aggro shell... Any suggestions on which direction to take the deck in or suggested cards?
I just finished designing a deck around these exact suggestions.
It also includes Gem of Becoming , for grabbing a large number of land all at once.

I was thinking of speeding through the deck with Mulch and Grisly Salvage maybe even Forbidden Alchemy and card:Tracker's Instincts too, to get the pieces. then run card:Ghoulcaller's Chant and Treasured Find to get things like Lotleth Troll and maybe Diregraf Captain back. Treasured Find would be reserved for non-creature stuff like counterspells and removal...
It's almost a dredge deck :D

I think that card:Jarad's Orders is more reliable than the "Mulch " type of spells, as you don't need to go digging through your graveyard for the creature you need (Veilborn Ghoul is the obvious choice for the one that goes straight there), and you don't risk losing anything else to the effect. card:Ghoulcaller's Chant and Treasured Find are decent cards, but using them to make up for the fact that you used Mulch seems counter productive when another card does everything you need.
At this point, I believe, Mulch is best left to Scavenge decks, where the graveyard is the desired destination for those creatures.

yes but it could leave you with a dead T4 move... besides, what goes into the graveyard can always be used for other things like Ghoultree and other g/y reliant spells... im still trying to figure out the kinks in my design. I think card:Ghoulcaller's Chant is a lot more viable... it isn't so mana intensive and with all the creatures in the grave that didnt go there from the battlefield it isnt too far from fetching something off the top 9 cards of your library... just a lot more convoluted

it's given that the deck will include Liliana of the Dark Realms and possibly card:Jarad's Orders along with a few mana dorks
