So I just started playing MTG 3 days ago and im in love. I play the online version because I have nobody else to play the physical game with but anyways, could anyone point me in the right direction where to get a good deck or where to start building one?

The least expensive way to get a powerful deck is to find a deck list you like and buy the singles off of a place like TCGPlayer.com.

The more creative way is to buy a Deckbuilder's Toolkit and some packs and start trying to make a deck out of what you get. and just tune it from there.

Either way if you ask a little more directed question about what you want (be it suggestions for good decks to buy singles for or help with something you have already started.) You are likely to receive a good bit of help from the TappedOut community.

Well, this website is a good start!

Spend some time looking at decks to figure out what you like. The playtesting feature on this site is pretty nifty; have multiple decks going in tabs. The deck builder is also a great tool. Before building a deck in real life, build it on this website to get some feedback and refine it.

Well depending if you want to make a copy-paste list, mtgtop8.com is a good place to start with to see some of the top deck lists in the format of your choosing. I enjoy the process of browsing at cards online and once if find a few interesting ones, I make a deck from there

Welcome to the MTG community! Definitely decide the colors you want to play by either play testing decks here or on the online version. If you do decide to play the physical game you can either do Friday night magic or maybe a draft or 2. If you decide to do an FNM then I reccommend buying singles and building a deck that is proven good for now because some metas can be very competitive. If you want to be creative jump in and do a draft its a great way to meet people in your area that love the game. Either way best of luck and happy gaming!
