So for some reason I'm really jazzed about finding out if the W/B demi-god coming in Journey to Nyx will be good. In that vein I made up a for fun deck that tries to balance white and black and uses a lot of theros block.

Using Scholar of Athreos as a jumping off point, I came to the idea of a deck which uses slow, life draining attrition and control spells to bring an opponent down, keeping the board clear, and then swing with my creatures to finish the game. Fate Unraveler fits this mold perfectly, while the control suite utilizes the classic Doom Blade , Pacifism and Revoke Existence among others. Of course you also need the hero to face down the river of the dead, Hero of Iroas . Then I took a step back, noticed how many enchants I had, and decided Ethereal Armor was too hot not to try out.
However, I am currently at a loss on the last 6 or so creature slots. I slapped in some high cost creatures which have are either good flavor/neat stuff (Archetype of Finality , Eater of Hope ) but that aren't great cards or creatures which are fairly good (Necropolis Regent , Serra Angel ) but do not have synergy with the deck. If I wasn't on a budget, I'd pick up some blood baron and be done with it, buuuuuuuut I can't because money. So I come to you all to help this lowly mortal find the final pieces of the deck while keeping to the w/b color with attrition and control ideas.

The life drain on Herald of Torment kind of makes me nervous about using it with such a slow deck. It's an aggro creature that adds more pressure to finish games sooner. However, if I hold onto it as a finisher, maybe 2 copies of it, and use it only for the bestow and a finisher.
Eidolon of Countless Battles is indeed on my short list. With over 20 potential buffing targets I could see if working out in early or late game. Can't remember why I didn't like it before, might be because this list is somewhat different from the deck list before I threw it up on TO.

Eidolon of Countless Battles and Herald of Torment would be pretty cool additions there. They work really well with Hero of Iroas , and are actually fantastic cards in their own right.
