Seeing the recent jump in Elesh Norn, Grand CenobiteMTG Card: Elesh Norn, Grand Cenobite's value and realizing her (its?) potential for helping and countering Innistrad-block Spirit decks, I've decided I want to rework my Praetoric Obliteration deck. It was originally designed as a casual deck built around the white and black praetors (Norn and Sheoldred, Whispering OneMTG Card: Sheoldred, Whispering One, built mostly for flavour and not really optimized at all. (The decklist has been modified since I put it up on the site months ago.) Two friends in my playgroup have Spirit decks right now, and I see great potential to rework this deck to counter theirs.

So basically, I'm looking for...- ways to get either Praetor out quickly (need to add some Quicksilver AmuletMTG Card: Quicksilver Amulets to this end)- mana ramping in white-black (hence Mycosynth Wellspring, but I'm lacking prompts to sacrifice artifacts)- the Phyrexian flavour to be kept (hence the Praetors and other spells named for them, Phyrexian Obliterator MTG Card: Phyrexian Obliterator , etc)- effective ways to deal with the common Spirit archetypal cards

Any suggestions? Is anyone else using Norn (or even Sheoldred) to counter those pesky Spirits?

Good ol' Unburial RitesMTG Card: Unburial Rites could be your friend here, along with perhaps Liliana of the VeilMTG Card: Liliana of the Veil to put your Praetors in the bin, unless you want to splash blue for all the wonderful discard spells.
