I remember zombie trailblazer and things like that that hooked up the zombie decks....now its seems to be vampires more or less.....lame. Anyone think I'm wrong? Please let me know if I'm missing something, I would love to have a zombie deck again.

Well...Cemetery Reaper , Call to the Grave just came back to standard and we also have Zombie Infestation .

So start building!

Do you think zombie decks could be that fast and good for standard? The ones I have scene are okay just seemed a little slow all together.

Once Innistrad comes out we will see all we have to work with, but they seem kind of average. Nobody's broken the format with them yet.

I think that part of the problem is that, for all their solid performance as a synergistic tribal build, the Type-II combo decks just outpace them. Twin goes off on turn 4, Vala can go off on turn 5, etc.

Depends on your play style. Off the top of my head I can think of an annoying deck with Slavering Nulls , and Null Champion , Cemetery Reaper , Adaptive Automaton ,Skinrender and Geth, Lord of the Vault .

Now throw in red burn and black kill and you have a deck!

@ Epochalyptik] that is true. The build I threw out is mostly causal...

Lich Lord of Unx 's are a really cool idea, too. I used to run a zombie mill deck. Look at Death Baron , Cemetery Reaper and Grixis Grimblade and you've got quite a start. Also, splashing skeletons with zombies is always good. Reassembling Skeleton is an obvious good choice. But I agree, Innistrad is going to hopefully buff zombies a bit.
