What to use in place of Mistcutter Hydra?

I've been toying around with a Jund brew, Born of the Jund, and I could use a possible replacement for Mistcutter Hydra .
Originally, I had it in there to fill out the curve and give me a late-game mana dump. However, I'm starting to wonder if maybe there would be a better option.
On the deck page, my Maybeboard are cards I think could fill the spot, but I'm not totally sure which would be best. I'm kind of leaning towards Ruric Thar, the Unbowed as a "curve topper," or Deathrite Shaman for utility.
I don't think I have enough creatures to effectively run Domri Rade . Removing the 2x Mistcutter Hydra would put me at only 17 creatures.

Nevermind meecht better suggestion, Xenagos, God of Revels I thought he was in there. Yes you can have both out at the same time!

My 3-drop slot is already a little clogged, so I would prefer to stay away from anything that's 3 CMC.
XenaGod is a possibility...

Witchstalker is great, or even another hydra, Savageborn Hydra to dump excess mana. The only downside is sorcery speed.

Scavenging Ooze seems to fit perfect.Early drop that can scale with the game. It cant eat all the corpses from your removal which lets you get even more value out of those cards.
Or if you were looking for something less expensive Ghor-Clan Rampager is the choice IMO.

I've actually been reconsidering Scavenging Ooze . I took it out because I was never really happy to see it, but I've added Herald of Torment since then so the lifegain might be worth it.
