What would be a good substitution for The Tabernacle at Pendrell?

Deck Help forum

I would like to build a deck around Winter Orb and The Tabernacle at Pendrell, but I don't want to spend over $1000 on a play set of The Tabernacle at Pendrell. I would like to know any cards similar to The Tabernacle at Pendrell or cards that go well with Winter Orb.

Magus of the Tabernacle is that ability on a dude, it has all the down sides of being able to be easily killed but is 1/1,000 the price.

Even for people who aren't broke $450 is a lot of damn money to pay for a freaking card.

Complete list of cards that make people pay 1 colorless on their upkeep per creature to keep them. There are 4 cards and 3 of them are creatures them selves.

That one is perfect. There are also Chancellor of the Annex , Spelltithe Enforcer , or Ghostly Prison Might not be what you were looking for, but some ideas. Gidgetimer found the perfect one though.

There are soft brackets in the URL and apparently tapped out doesn't like soft brackets.

Musician

Pendrell Mists

Please remember to close your HTML tags.

The Tabernacle at Pendrell Vale is expensive because there isn't anything that can do the same thing in the same way. Replacing it is hard if you want the deck to remain competitive.

If it's just for casual, you're fine replacing it.

No one was dogging the card for being expensive, just wishing we had the ability to get some.

I didn't say you were. But the thing about finding cheaper alternatives to expensive cards is that you sometimes can't. As a land, The Tabernacle at Pendrell Vale offers a very powerful and accessible platform for its ability.

You'll have to give that up if you want to find an affordable replacement.

I completely agree with that. Mainly because it is a fact.

Sorry about the open tag Epochalyptik but in my defense it was supposed to be a < br > not a < b > I am OCD about closing tags when coding so it wouldn't have happened If I meant to bold but I was trying to break.

Yeah Tabernacle is horribly expensive because of how good it is but there are work arounds for doing the same effect, you just have to live with the fact that they are more vulnerable to removal and/or they are victims of their own abilities.

I found it funny when I saw this because a buddy and I were just discussing the "Magus of the _" cards on Saturday so that card was fresh in my mind. There are 15 cards, 1 in each color for each set in Time Spiral block, that have abilities from other cards just put on a guy and called the Magus of that thing.
