it's not a bad deck at all, but i think that the chance you have a creature on the battlefield at the end of turn 1 is too low. you can't even play an instant that can counter something your opponent did. some decks you are gonna play against are insanely good, so you really cannot afford to be that umprepared for a real battle by turn 2. i'm not a great magic player, but my deck is fast (can win in 1 turn, sometimes win in 2, usually win in 3-4) and having a fast deck sometimes is more important than having a deck with great cards in it. you catch your opponent off guard and he is forced to make up a new strategy

chiccocesena, the only deck I see on your profile isn't something that would be at an FNM anyways...

In the Standard format, you might run into some decks that can reliably pull down a turn 4 win, if you don't have any answers for them. Of course, everything really depends on what the FNM meta is where you're going. I played at an FNM this past weekend where absolutely no one was prepared for a graveyard based deck.

If you run into aggro infect, that can occasionally pull down a turn 2 or 3 win, if they get the perfect draw. But, most people aren't playing anything of the sort right now.

Delver decks see a ton of play right now. Wolf Run Ramp. Pod decks are getting a lot of attention right now, before Birthing PodMTG Card: Birthing Pod is gone from Standard...

no that's not it. that's a "new" one. I have (actually HAD, cause I lost a lot of cards when I quit)based on cycling. It was a very fun deck to play with. I'm trying to rebuild it

Ah yes, I've seen some pretty solid cycling decks. But, you still won't run into decks like that in Standard, as cycling isn't an ability that's around in the current blocks.

I don't think there are any decks other than infect that can pull off a win before turn 4. Red Deck Wins isn't very popular right now, especially since giveing it more utility. Then you have decks forgoing the Wolf Run strategy and that just want to strap and Inferno TitanMTG Card: Inferno Titan, or Bant Pod, which utilizes the copying effects of Phantasmal ImageMTG Card: Phantasmal Image and it's insane interaction with Sun TitanMTG Card: Sun Titan. I personally favor the Bant Pod list.

Finally, the last deck I think you'll see is Esper Superfriends. This is a control-ish deck that plays with Gideon JuraMTG Card: Gideon Jura, Sorin, Lord of InnistradMTG Card: Sorin, Lord of Innistrad, and Liliana of the VeilMTG Card: Liliana of the Veil. It's a very good deck (as are all the others listed here) with lots of board wipes and ways to stall you out until it can assemble an unstoppable force via the planeswalkers.

I'm pretty sure these are the decks you'll be facing. Keep in mind that you can (and will) find a rouge list you are unprepared for. Usually these decks are beaten easily, but sometimes they are quite good and you should be aware of them.

Also, remember that the people you are playing against are usually tournament regulars, and enjoy playing magic on a competitive level. This means they have probably gotten their deck list or were inspired for their deck list by a pro, have playtested their deck against the current metagame, and researched the best decks in Standard at the moment. I would suggest doing the same if you are truly interested in breaking into the Standard environment.

Good luck, and happy Standard!

That surely is a long post. But very useful. I just got back into magic (I missed it sooooo much I had to come back) so I don't even know the names of the new sets and there are so many new abilities I've never even thought about. I'm sort of an experienced noob
