What's a good aggro deck post rotation?

So what do you guys think will be a good (preferably budget) aggro deck post rotation? I'm most interested in red and green, though Rakdos is tempting. I tried mono red, but it just has too many weaknesses. Do you think Naya and Jund can still be fast with some of the key lands rotating out?
Thanks.

Slivers, humans will still be around. I don't know if zombies got much new stuff from m14...
I'd like to say blue got something, but it didn't :(

I'm trying to decide the same thing right now. I've been playing mono-red aggro up until now and I'm trying to if I want to splash another color, and if I do, what color I want to splash. For me, it's between, white, black, or green, or just staying mono-red. The best cards in white aggro are Imposing Sovereign , Fiendslayer Paladin , Frontline Medic , Boros Reckoner , and Boros Charm . In black, there are good choices such as Rakdos, Lord of Riots , Spike Jester , Exava, Rakdos Blood Witch , and Doom Blade . In green, you have Flinthoof Boar , Ghor-Clan Rampager , Burning-Tree Emissary , Kalonian Tusker , Brushstrider , and Scavenging Ooze .

It's impossible to know because Theros has a total of 0 spoilers out right now. Everything you are being told right now is hearsay from a site where most of the people, quite frankly, don't know what they're talking about.

It's easy to speculate which decks won't exist anymore once rotation hits. The Aristocrats, for example, loses too many of its staples come late September for the deck to continue to exist.
It's impossible to speculate what decks may spring up to take the place of those that fall, however, until we see the entire Theros spoiler. Trying to speculate now means trying to build a deck using only one block. Ignoring 249 unspoiled new cards is foolish.

There will be only one good aggro deck in Theros, and it will be Ooze tribal

I agree with landgrafb. Too much speculation too early. Just relax and wait for Theros.

I know we haven't seen Theros, but really I just want an aggro deck to play in the meantime without investing heavily in cards that are rotating out.

In the realms of aggro that's more or less wishful thinking as virtually every aggro deck is losing a lot post rotation. If you want a deck that suffers very little post rotation, your best bet might actually be Esper or American control.

Gruul aggro won't lose too much, and it's fairly cheap otherwise

Gruul Aggro loses Stromkirk Noble, Flinthoof Boar, Lightning Mauler, Searing Spear, and (most importantly) Hellrider. That's like a 3rd of the deck and about 30$ worth of cards.
July 19, 2013 1:09 a.m.
Compare it to other aggro decks like Naya blitz or Jund aggro and it's less cards lost and less money spent. Stromkirk is lost but there's still Cackler & experiment, spear is replaced by shock, you could possibly run kalonian tusker instead of boar, the loss of haste sucks, hellrider is a big thing but something will fill the vaccum, maybe rubblebelt raiders. It would be different but there's still plenty of aggro options in GR.

The other aggro deck you can run that won't lose much is RW, but it still loses Hellrider and it would lose Champion of the Parish and Silverblade Paladin .

I'm told that Ogre Battledriver will take Hellrider 's slot, but it's hard to say if it's really a "replacement". Hellrider is excellent the second it hits the table, while the ogre needs other creatures to come out later- after a 4 drop. That and it doesn't have haste itself, which kind of sucks.

Overall it's really hard to tell what will replace Hellrider. The way I see it, Firemane Avenger is probably the most likely to take its spot in general.

I doubt firemane will be good enough to take that slot. It doesn't do anything on its own, no haste, and the damage is limited to 3.
Ogre Battledriver is meh imo. It doesn't do anything on its own either, but global haste plus a power boost when they hit is very powerful. If it was a cmc of 3 it'd be really good, but at 4, where most aggro decks wanna top out, it seems slow. It could find a place in some sort of tempo deck, but I don't see it being that great for aggro.
I like Rubblebelt Raiders as a sort of H-rider, it fills the slot of "more creatures = win". It needs haste and trample to do what Hellrider does, but if you can wait till the next turn, slap a Rancor on it and you got yourself something better than rider. Sure it can be removed before it hits, but Hrider can be removed at the beginning of combat - same difference.

If you want cheap aggro, just go mono red. Foundry Street Denizen , Gore-House Chainwalker , Rakdos Cackler , Firefist Striker , Legion Loyalist and Boros Reckoner are all still in rotation and all very solid. If you skip the Reckoner, that deck will be cheap as hell.
July 22, 2013 9:03 p.m.
Oh right well there should be some way to enable trample. I mean Crowned Ceratok might not be the best but ya lnow

Do you guys think mono green might be viable? Granted, it depends heavily on what's in Theros, but there's Kalonian Tusker and the new Garruk isn't bad. On the expensive side, but not bad.

I agree with fluffybunnypants and love his/her name. Burning-Tree Emissary into Gore-House Chainwalker or Firefist Striker .
Naya decks will probably be stronger for the first few weeks, including Blitz, but as post-rotation matures and answers to super-fast aggro is found.... well I have no clue what then. I've been paying attention to RTR Block Constructed aggro decks to prep for Fall since I missed most of Innistrad.

No one mentioned Ash Zealot ? I play her in my Gruul Blitz right now and love her.

Rakdos is killer, if not check out my deck Power and Aggro for some good post rotation aggro black or red cards.
good luck with your deck!
IAmKingTony says... #2
there's a lot of good looking aggressive strategies
you have Selesnya being able to drop a T2 Loxodon Smiter into T3 Unflinching Courage
Rakdos obviously has it's horde of unleash dudes
Boros has low-costing battalion guys, and probably has the best chances to get the best aggro cards in Theros (white human soldiers)
Gruul has it's uncounterable bloodrush combat tricks and some low costed beef...
