When do you need Sphinx's Revelation?

deck:azorius-inquisition-exalted-control is a deck I've been working on for a while, and a lot of people have suggested I have more card draw in the decklist. Right now I use Inaction Injunction as a cantrip, and the Azorius Charm if I really need to draw a card, otherwsie its for putting creatures back on the library. Does this deck need card:Sphinx's Revelation? Because I may need to trade the card:Rakdos's Return from my R/B deck to get one, and I want to make sure I actually need it.

My recommendation: proxy is with some friends, and play test without it, and then play test with it. See which build seems to flow better. Then, you'll know first hand if you need it or don't.

It's a great card, that's been seeing great use, but ultimately, it comes down to deck design, and if it fits in properly.

i was sort of curious what sorts of deck builds benefit from it the best. i linked my control deck for people to glance at to see if it works. there's no lifegain in it, so it may be nice to have.

I imagine it would be good in any deck that runs the proper color spread (like yours). It would be especially useful in the circumstance that you start to run out of steam -- hand played out, just drawing up land, etc.

getting mana flooded is a problem i run into mid-game, i just hit a mana pocket sometimes and dont draw the counters or other things i need. that leads to some damage i can't prevent, so i figured card:Sphinx's Revelation was a good answer to that problem.

I would be inclined to agree with that.
