i am having a hard time deciding which deck to build. here is what i have.... red/black gain control of target creature then sacrifice it for my benefit, a mono green Ramp deck, a infinite combo deck, or a blue/red burn control deck. i play standard but i want to hear fron you guys

well i would like a deck that hits hard and fast so what would you think?

Oh, i know nothing about standard. If you play casual i guess "red/black gain control of target creature then sacrifice it for my benefit" sounds most fun. If you play competitive i think "blue/red burn control deck" would be best. But as i said, i know nothing about standard right now so i might be wrong :)

These all seem like they would be awesome and fun to play. The most fun would be the Tymaret, the Murder King (I assume that is the card you're talking about, right), but you might find a shortage of "gain control". Green ramp would be pretty fun and pretty effective. RU burn control would be incredibly effective (but maybe not as fun). It also depends on which infinite combo you're thinking of.

An izzet burn/control deck would be most effective in standard (besides green ramp, thats mono green devotion but thats boring). If you like staring your opponent in the face and laughing as they rage because you countered their win con like me then U/R would be the most fun. I'm willing to help you build whatever deck you decide on.

red blue- izzet. Probably the most effective.
Also, are you thinking of the Archangel of Thune /Horizon Chimera /Fathom Mage combo or theElite Arcanist /Triton Tactics /Zhur-Taa Druid (or any mana dork)/(optional)Guttersnipe combo.
Both of those would be fun but fragile.
Mono green (or green red) ramp would also be very effective (and has a turn 3 win) but maybe not as effective as red blue burn control.

yes that will be fine. do you know why they call a red blue deck U/R

Just color identification. white=W. Blue=U. Black=B. Red=R. Green=G. Its faster than writing out the whole thing.

@flyguy: There's a few "gain control"-cards in Standard right now. Act of Treason , Portent of Betrayal , Smelt-Ward Gatekeepers , Molten Primordial , and Traitorous Instinct .
Some split of all those, would probably fit the bill quite nicely.

oh ok, so i guess we shall get started. how do you want to do this? i give you the cards that i think should go in here and we decide then or what

I have a 40 card deck (as my playgroup decided to buy bulk "trash" cards from a pile, and play sealed with those) like that, which is loads of fun.

I forgot about most of those Dallie. You are completely right.

Instead of going card by card, you can just build the deck and post it here. But yes, Goblin Electromancer would be a great card to use.

which do you think is best?
