Since temperedd-steel decks are so good, and there are so many variants , I'm asking the tappedout community which version is the best. Whether it be on the pro tour, the local tournament scene, or battling it out on the kitchen table. There aversion for every aggro player. I'd like all readers to know that Ive started to test Master's CallMTG Card: Master's Call due to lack of Etched ChampionMTG Card: Etched Champions

Wu Tempered SteelMTG Card: Tempered Steel: the traditional deck that utilizes Moorland HauntMTG Card: Moorland Haunt for extra reach in the late game. It also allows for counters out of the sideboard to stop sweepers and threats. There is also the scare factor "oh my god! He's playing BLUE!! I'd better wait 3 turns to play anything. My version also plays a playset of Gitaxian ProbeMTG Card: Gitaxian Probe to scout the opponent to not overextend into a sweeper, or to go all in do to lack of a sweeper.

Wg Tempered SteelMTG Card: Tempered Steel: this deck splashes green for Gavony TownshipMTG Card: Gavony Township. Since I've started playing this version, I believe it need at least 2 mikaeous,-the-lunarch just because he's insane with all the +1+1 counters going around. With him and township, that's 2 counters on every other creature you control. We also get instant speed removal for artifacts and enchantments in the form of NaturalizeMTG Card: Naturalize. This version turns an abundance of lands into a win, and furthurs your advantage against creature based decks, but isn't quite as strong against quite sweepers.

Wb Tempered SteelMTG Card: Tempered Steel: while this isn't being played by the pros, I've seen several Of these on tappedout.net. It looks to utilize Vault of the ArchangelMTG Card: Vault of the Archangel. The lifelink and deathtouch helps to keep larger creatures at bay, while keeping your life total high against aggressive decks. A couple Doom BladeMTG Card: Doom Blades and the ability to pay mana for Vault SkirgeMTG Card: Vault Skirge is enough to get me interested. However, I am yet to test this deck, it does not seem to have much against control, except Glint Hawk IdolMTG Card: Glint Hawk Idol which requires instant speed removal or else you win.

Without Mox OpalMTG Card: Mox Opal, I do not suggest running many Glint HawkMTG Card: Glint Hawks because for them to be effective you need to bounce a 0-drop. You really don't want to bounce a Vault SkirgeMTG Card: Vault Skirge without the Wb manabase.

I am not sure if I want to splash green or blue for fnm tommorow.here is what I'm leaning towards: deck:hawkward-steel

I personally splashed blue and tossed in 2 Geist of Saint TraftMTG Card: Geist of Saint Traft. He's a pain in the ass to deal with!
