Can I use Wild RicochetMTG Card: Wild Ricochet To generate an infinite combo if I get it to work like this.

+Bottom of Stack

Lightning BoltMTG Card: Lightning Bolt

Wild RicochetMTG Card: Wild Ricochet

ReverberateMTG Card: Reverberate

Top of Stack

So now when ReverberateMTG Card: Reverberate goes off on Wild RicochetMTG Card: Wild Ricochet I have two copys, using copy 2 to (1) target the original Wild RicochetMTG Card: Wild Ricochet generating 3 copies on the stack (Original +2). One from the Copied Wild RicochetMTG Card: Wild Ricochet targeting the original, and the other targeting the Lightning BoltMTG Card: Lightning Bolt cast. As long as you do not target any Wild RicochetMTG Card: Wild Ricochet other than the first, and then any of the copies targeting Lightning BoltMTG Card: Lightning Bolt, you should be able to infinitely copy Wild RicochetMTG Card: Wild Ricochet and Lightning BoltMTG Card: Lightning Bolt.

That is of course as long as I am understanding the card correctly.

I apologize now if I caused any headaches from my understanding, and I do know that the + and the (1) I have in there are pointless, I had missed them until after I posted it. Thanks again.

I think you're mistaken.

You copy Wild RicochetMTG Card: Wild Ricochet using ReverberateMTG Card: Reverberate. At this point, you have two copies of WR, one (the original) targeting Bolt and one (the copy) targeting the original WR.

The copy resolves, creating a copy of the original WR. The end result of that resolution is that you have one WR targeting Bolt and another targeting WR. You never actually duplicate Lightning BoltMTG Card: Lightning Bolt with any of the copies of WR, so you'll ultimately get two Bolts.

Once Wild Ricochet copies the other WR, there will be 3 copies of it on the stack. Then a 4th, a 5th, and so on until there are infinite copies of it on the stack. Then the controller of those spells lets them all resolve targeting lightning bolt when they copy wild ricochet. Seems to work to me.

So:

BoltWR > BoltWR > WR

BoltWR > BoltWR > WRWR > Bolt

BoltWR > BoltWR > WRBoltBolt

Let the 2 Bolts resovle and you're back to wear you started so it should work.

The ReverberateMTG Card: Reverberate will produce one copy of Wild RicochetMTG Card: Wild Ricochet. Let this be denoted CWR.

So when Reverberate resolves, the stack looks like this:

Lightning BoltMTG Card: Lightning Bolt (LB) + WR-LB + CWR-WR

where the rightmost object is on top of the stack. When CWR-WR resolves, it copies WR-LB. At this point, it can either choose to remain CWR-LB (you'll get three copies of LB in the end) or to change to a CWR-WR (in which case it will just repeat this process, not netting anything).

If one of these effects said "Copy target instant or sorcery spell twice," then it would be different.

It will be infinite if you flashback Increasing VengeanceMTG Card: Increasing Vengeance targeting Wild RicochetMTG Card: Wild Ricochet with a Lightning BoltMTG Card: Lightning Bolt on the stack. I guess it's 10 mana to win, but maybe it could happen with red rituals.

Thanks for the help. Now I know that Wild RicochetMTG Card: Wild Ricochet doesn't copy the spell twice. That was something I was wondering.
