Work around DoJ in Standard

Deck Help forum

Hey everyone. I really have a problem with my RW Humans deck. The group of people I play with are all control freaks and play things like Day of Judgment and other removal things to get rid of my Human buildup. I haven't been having much help about it on my deck page, so I decided to come here and see what could happen. Does anyone have ANY answer at all to Day of Judgment as far as playing an aggro Human deck? ANY help is greatly appreciated and I will take it all seriously. As you can see, I am sick of my board being wiped.

If you have some time too you can check out my deck Dem Humans... in which I am trying to incorporate the answers to Day. Maybe leave a comment ;) But again, any help is appreciated.

Sorry, the deck is called deck:das-humans-riding-to-hell. Had to change the name. Sorry for the newbie mistake...

win by turn 4 is the best bet lol but You could try not dumping all of your creatures out or maybe run some draw power

If you know that your opponent is running control then the most important thing is not to overextend yourself. If you keep some good cards in your hand, then getting board wiped won't be a big deal because you will be able to rebound.

Its not really an answer to your problem but i run brimstone volley in my boros standard deck. Doesnt keep your creatures but hitting them in the face for 5 is always fun!

The best way for an aggro deck in your colors to deal with that is to hold some cards back, so you're not setting yourself up for a miserable blowout. Instead of casting everything in your hand, just cast the stuff you need right now, and remember to count damage. If playing the card won't make the game end faster by at least one whole turn, wait on it, especially if you think you're going to get a DoJ thrown at you fairly soon.
