Would this be a viable burn deck?

Shortly after I started playing magic a couple of years ago, I bought a 500 card rebox from my LGS that happened to have a disproportionately high ratio a red cards in it. Because of which, this little 'johnny' decided to build a burn deck.. Now this burn deck is a little unusual because of it's enchantment & artifact based win con.. Now I took a version of this back to this LGS when they were still running a (Casual-ish) weekend Legacy tourney, and got my butt whooped, so I ended up taking it apart & left it alone for over a year. However since then, this particular event has been split into two, Casual & (competitive) Modern.. So, I've since rediscovered this list and made some changes to "Modern-ize" it. (I was sad to lose Price of Progress ).. Obviously this isn't going to outright win any tournaments because of it's relatively flimsy win cons, but I'm wondering if something like this could be viable outside of a purely 'casual' setting?

Quest for Burning Rage..

Of course some changes are in order, and it desperately needs a sideboard.. I have some ideas, and ideally I'd like to keep it Mono-Red, but first I want to hear what the T/O community thinks about this little johnny homebrew..

Sure, but the problem is that Grim Lavamancer & Pyromancer Ascension conflict with each other..
