Hi. =) I'm new to Magic and I was hoping someone would help me build a deck for Standard play based on the theme of tribal Humans in Dual-colors.
I'm interested in all the color combinations, but for now I want to focus on making the most competitive deck possible with what is available in deck:my-grimoire.
I don't know what is the local meta, but I like to be prepared, versatile, and diabolical. I have an impish sense of humor.

Thanks =) I'm allowing for creatures that synergize with humans such as card:Angel of Glory's Rise and Falkenrath Aristocrat or powerhouses like Gisela, Blade of Goldnight .
I'm quite willing to buy the necessary cards to fill out what I'm missing. My budget is between $50 - $100 for that. I'm not including the upcoming Gatecrash expansion in that estimate, though I am keeping an eye toward the options available in that set.
Personally I'd love to make a B/W Humans at least to try it, since I enjoy making original strategies and I have in mind to build one once I get my hands on Gatecrash.
As for the present, I think red/white looks like it will be well supported in gatecrash and green/white is sturdy enough especially with the mana ramp card:Avacyn's Pilgrim provides. I'll start with green/white as my color choice.
So...any ideas? =D

with every thing that RTR has to offer and gatecrash around the bend, i have a feeling that g/w control getting splashed with blue could get ridiculous. if you want to control the battlefield and your opponents turn and still have a decent amount of aggro standard bant might be something to look into

Thanks, I'll consider it. I'm trying to keep it uncomplicated since I'm still learning the game, though. I want to get good at this before getting very ambitious.

A man chooses. A slave obeys.
If you're wanting to run humans, G/W, R/W, or G/R is probably going to be the way to go. If you want to venture into tri-colors, you might want to use all three and just do R/W/G.
There are several ways to go about building human decks, but I'll throw you some staples.
There is also going to be a lot to work with in from Gatecrash, such as Firefist Striker and other Battalion cards.

Ok, a few options for g/w humans are basically everything Fleetfiend said, except of course for the red cards. Silverblade Paladin , Rancor , Fencing Ace Sigarda, Host of Herons , Revenge of the Hunted , Gather the Townsfolk , card:Avacyn's Pilgrim, Champion of Lambholt , Wolfir Silverheart , Riders of Gavony , Precinct Captain , Wild Beastmaster , and Increasing Savagery are all cards that I have seen run in the build you seem to be thinking of.

It's very difficult to build a deck, without purchasing or trading any cards for it, and expect to do well at fnm. So if you set a budget you would like to spend on this deck I might be able to help. Looking at humans, you typically have to pick between red/white and green/white, and the less popular choice, blue/ white. Let me know which one interests you the most, and I can link a few decks, or just give suggestions :D
