Zhur-Taa Ancient?

Deck Help forum

So I am working on a green-devotion deck and as of now I have black splashed in to fill in some gaps. But I also own a couple of Stomping Ground and I've been contemplating putting in red instead or as well. I'm really curious how Zhur-Taa Ancient would do in a mana ramping deck, or if he isn't worth it due to Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx and devotion ramp...? Then I could also look into the R/G planeswalkers and at even Ruric Thar, the Unbowed as well.

Well here's my deck:

What do you think?

Zhur-tAA ancient isn't good in standard. For 5cmc you get a card that benefits your opponent, that your opponent can just kill before your next turn so that you do not get any benefit.

Its not something that seems worth it at all.
I can't even think of a good way to use him. Even if base, 5 for a 7/5 if nice, but I mean... Arbor Colossus exists.

My friend loves Zhur-Taa Ancient . He thinks it makes the game twenty times better. Whenever I kill it, he tells me I've just killed myself. I then look at him, play my big spells off of his mana, and tell him all I've done is killed his 7/5.

It is not a good card by any means.
