I've just noticed this while checking Twitter today. Evidently someone got Walmart to match the price aswell.

Bought 12 packs. Best pull was Monastery Swiftspear. Fuck Walgreen's.

You have like a 40-60 chance (the 40% side) to get Walmart to price match this.
I had a couple of friends try one Walmart multiple times as well as some of the outlying Walmarts and there were some that did and some that didn't.

When the vast majority of rares in Khans, outside fetches, are less than one dollar, I just say forget it. I mean, there are fetches, and Monastery Swiftspear isn't exactly an awful pull at $3 if you paid only $2. Hell, I usually opt for store credit when I win prizes at FNM.

Got my walmart to match. I suggest you take in a picture of the actual tag and show that with the Walgreens ad

My friend kept saying there were $1 boosters at the dollar store, but I don't know if I believe him. But this is pretty cool.

@xzavierx: That's a hell of a pull. Wish I was that lucky.

@ TheGamer the $1 booster packs at the Dollar Store are repacks. Some 3rd party does them and I only ever pull Commons but I get some cool old ones. I did pull an 8th Ed Storm Crow out of my last one. So theres that

As a Walmart cashier, I can say that you should be able to price match. You just have to buy them in values divisible by two, or else the last one will be full price. If your Walmart won't price match, then bring in a picture of the competitor ad, they can't refuse it. Technically they aren't even supposed to ask you to verify that the ad price is real. They are supposed to take your word for it unless the deal seems unreasonable. You could totally go in and make up some bull crap sale price and get them to price match it (I wouldn't recommend taking this course of action though. They could easily cross reference it with a list of known ad prices and once they find out it is fake then hit you with charges unless you paid in cash).

I caved and spent $20 on 10 Walgreens packs.
Junk, junk, junk...and then a Wooded Foothills and a Flooded Strand in the last two packs. I guess I'm ok.

I was wondering why Walmart was completely sold out of packs on Sunday... If someone got them to price match Walgreens, that explains it.

I had a job walk at a Walgreen's today and we walked right by the packs. I bought 2 afterwards, been months since I've bought any. Pulled Flooded Strand and Surrak Dragonclaw. I'm cool with that.

I went to my local walgreens and all they had were a couple of intro packs. I got a Bloodsoaked Champion and one fetchland. Later I went to walmart and they refused to honor the price match, despite me having th rules to their guarantee on me.

Not supporting Walmart, just abusing their price match
December 6, 2014 10:04 a.m.
According to my local Walmart, they don't match bogos; it has to have a price or percentage for them to do it
December 6, 2014 7:27 p.m.
According to their site they do BOGO sales.

For those of you who were turned down, I complained online through Walmart and had the store manager call and apologize to me. he was particularly apologetic and upset how a customer knew the store policy better than the managers. They are sending me a gift card, and will allow me to make the purchase even though the sale has ended. I don't know if you'd necessarily get a gift card out of it, but if you contact them online you should be able to get a opportunity to get the sale price.

I know I said you should be able to get it earlier, and I commend you for pursuing it, but technically you should not be able to get it. I actually read up on the actual policy online and there is one flaw that makes it invalid. It says that it must be a local competitor's price. Now, you should still be able to get it no matter what because they can't make you prove it or anything, but if you really wanna know, unless a local walgreens is running the same deal, you shouldnt be able to use that ad price. "We will match any local competitor's advertised price." Taken straight off the website. Again, you have a real determination for this deal and I commend you for going so far as to complain about it.

I went to several walgreens in my area and they were all running the sale. They were all out of boosters, which is why I ended up going to walmart. I do hope they run that sale again, but I have a feeling it'll be a year until we see it again.

phc the Walmart policy specifically says "We do not match the price in the following types of competitor ads: ..... Buy one, get one free (BOGO) ads with no actual price given"
thetechzombie - You should be able to pull the Local" Walgreens flyer. I did not see any in my area that provided actual pricing on the BOGO offer.
I ended up with 72 packs a a bunch of rain check from Walgreens that ran out. Note the add does not specify while supplies last.

Well that's the thing, there was a price given. The sign stated buy one pack at $3.99, get one free. It even provides the price per unit as $2.00 each if you buy two.

Well. I'm gonna check this out after I get out of classes. Boosters aren't typically worth it, but this might just be.
