Well i was fairly happy with SCG so far but their service seems to be going from bad to worse lately. Can anyone recommend an alternative store which has timely delivery times and fairly priced stock?

I like using tcgplayer for my shopping. The prices are right, the shipping is good. Between all the stores, I would say 90%+ are timely as in I get them within a week of ordering, a few wait take till the deadline agreed upon to get here, but very few.

Aside from it generally being cheaper, I like tcgplayer for the cart optimizer and knowing that I am supporting individual sellers as well as brick and mortar stores that may not be as huge as SCG or Channel Fireball.

I have always had this problem of not being able to buy from TCG though i like their prices. I instead use abugames.com, which isn't too bad. The only thing i wouldn't buy from Abugamges is Snapcaster Mage which is overpriced, last i checked.

magic.tcgplayer.com or trollandtoad.com are the stores that i use when shopping online, but brick and mortar stores are still my favorite option

TCGplayer is pretty good. That's where I usually order from. ChannelFireBall is cool too I hear. I have also used MTG Madness. They take a while to get here (I live in the US, they ship from Israel), but they always have coupon codes for stuff like free shipping, $5 off, and 20% off, though you can only use one at a time. For booster boxes, I have ordered from collectorstore.com. They ship very timely and sell boxes of current product for $90. Also, don't forget to check with your local game store. Some have better prices than online stores on specific cards.

I've used cardkingdom before, without issues, though it might err a bit on the expensive side, compared to TCGplayer's average prices.

Card Kingdom might also have great deals compared to SCG or TCGPlayer. It all depends on the card.

I've never used it, but I saw someone post about earlier. The prices seem really low. I'm just not sure about the details. Might be worth a shot.

strikezoneonline.com

I haven't ordered from SCG in a while, but I don't remember ever having a problem with their customer service.

ChannelFireball is about the only other store that can even rival SCG. TrollandToad isn't bad. TCGplayer is fine if you aren't looking for anything exotic.

The problem is that a lot of the cheaper or less reputable retailers have stock issues. You may not find what you need, or for the price you need. Also, definitely research the store before buying. Even if you just search it in MTGS's Market Street Cafe, you'll thank yourself for the caution.

AmazingMTG.com (Amazing Discoveries) is my lgs. They offer a local pickup option, so I can order online from home and avoid shipping charges. I don't have experience with their shipping services, but they usually pull orders the morning after they're placed, so I imagine they're pretty quick. Their in-person customer service has been awesome, and I'm pretty happy overall with their stock and prices. I recommend them, give 'em a try.
