Animists Awakening price spike?

Landfall as a returning mechanic has been hinted at by the duel deck so my question is this: Given how broken this card would have been in old zendikar will there be some kind of standard landfall combo deck that arises and if so should I trade into these now while they are still bulk because if I wait then the price will most likely increase due to the potential combos.
Animist's Awakening is currently a very cheap card, if you feel the price will rise feel free to even buy a pile of them you could probably get 30 of them for around $30 and if it doesn't work out at the worst you were out of $30 (which is far from the worst a gamble could lose you) and at best the card didn't skyrocket but only saw a rise of a few bucks, in fact eventually this card will likely rise a little after it rotates (so quite awhile in the future) due to casual appeal. So overall if you want to take a small gamble feel free.

I'm not one for speculation anymore. Ever since I picked up 50 or so copies of Merciless Eviction once Theros was spoiled as being an enchantment-heavy block and Evic never went up over $.50 USD... Yeah. (I still have those Evic's to this day, btw. A testament to lack of Future Sight on my part.)
As far as Animist's Awakening, I'll probably pick up a few for various EDH projects, but as speculation goes, nah.

I think this is a sold spec target. Even if landfall isn't a returning mechanic, it is a good way to ramp quickly, and we already know that there will be Eldrazzi in BFZ.
The fact that it can hit nonbasic lands is very relevant.
My only caviot? I wish it were at instant speed :)

mindcrush I pulled a foil Sword of the Animist out of a ORI fat pack I bought the other day. Considering I really wanted that card to begin with, the fact that it's foil is just icing on the cake :D

landfall has been spoiled, so I would say pick up as many as possible, in my opinion they will hit at least $5 if not more, I also think foils will hit $12-$15, just a thought, but this card is busted with landfall

Nope, it will only be good in a weird deck with 30+ lands. If that deck exists then it could go up a little. I'll always go for the consistency and bang for buck of Explosive Vegetation and Nissa's Expedition in my decks over AA.

There's no way of knowing what's going to be in the new set. If you need the cards then pick them up now, but if you don't need them then there's no reason to buy them.
