Any Pucatrade experts here?

So I've been using Pucatrade for a while, and it's been great. No real issues until very recently. So, I got a 2500 point card and it's definitely not NM/M. It's easily LP if not worse. Now, I'm not usually anal about this sort of thing, but seeing as this card is about 25 dollars, I'm not sure if I should push the issue. I already contacted the person who sent it to me, asking if he has another one in better condition. He said he doesn't, and if I don't want it, i should just send it back. Now I'm pretty sure that the person who needs to pay for shipping in this case is the person who sent it, but I'm not exactly sure. And since it's a 25$ card, I wouldn't exactly feel comfortable sending it just with a stamp (in case he says he didn't get it and I have to cough up the money for it.) so... what do I do?

Ask for him to give you some points back. That's what I do. Also sending a $25 card with just a stamp isn't a big deal. If he claims he didn't get it, Pucatrade will probably side with you anyways because the card wasn't NM. I'd just ask for some points back.

You can open a case, but first I would check the difference in price on TCG between NM and SP, then ask him if he would be willing to refund the difference in points. I've had to do that several times and each time the other user was happy to make it right.

If he's a jerk I'd ship the card back, but track it, and open a case so you can try to get your postage refunded.

if you want the SP card, tell him you're willing to take it at the % value on the Pucatrade condition guide. Take pictures and point out the reasoning for your condition assessment.

if he is willing to meet your price, he can transfer you pts and the deal is done. if he's not an upgraded member, you can open a case and both confirm that a mod should transfer the points for you.

if he does not agree to your condition assessment, take pictures of the card and open a case. it is 100% the sender's responsibility for ensuring a card is NM. request a mod transfer you points to cover the return postage. i agree with the earlier user that tracking is not necessary, unless the original sender wants to pay additional points to have it tracked. all cost for the return shipment is on him, because he didn't send a NM card in the first place.

DO NOT confirm the trade until you have all the points/cards owed to you because it's a lot easier for the mods to handle things if the trade/case remains open.

Thanks guys for the help. We ended up contacting an admin and I got some points back because it was LP. :)
