So after opening a box of Ravnica and going to a pre-release i have come across a play-set of this card. Being a modern player I was happy that i got them one actually turned out to be foil which I was very happy about. The other part is i don't have a B/G deck in modern and i don't play standard. my question is is it worth it to let these go now when there high or should i hold on to them because there gonna be such a high value and in ever black green deck in modern? Thanks!
I was also lucky enough to pull the stamped foil assassins trophy, and a plain nonfoil version. They’re DEFINITELY going to drop in price as the market evens out, so I’m working on selling my foil now, and putting my other copy in my trade binder to hopefully trade for something I like more!

Genuinely curious why you guys think this card will drop when it is premium removal in multiple formats.

brandonsperry25 It’s a good card yeah, the plain one will probably stay at 20-25$ like it is now. The foil is really expensive and will likely drop a lot. The stamped foil was 190$ to start, then 120$ and is starting to drop below that. It’ll probably be around 70$ or lower for the foils once it all evens out.

brandonsperry25 I can answer that question. It’s not because it isn’t good, but a economics supply and demand issue. Right now the card is in low supply but high demand. As more packs are opened, more ATs will be floating around and the price will drop. It’s also in a rare slot, vs being a mythic which makes this even more guaranteed.

Thanks for the replies senholo and rockleemyhero. I can see the point of the foil dropping. And I can even understand the basic idea of supply and demand. I just can’t imagine enough packs will be opened to drop the cost of it since it is so good. I imagine most people will have a playset of them because it is so good. And if you play multiple formats, you may even spring for more. Just my thoughts. Guess we can track it here in the future.

After pre-release I am also currently sitting 3 Assassin's Trophy heavy right now, none foil, but I am willing to move on from them for any BG interested players.

Thanks for all the reply’s I have decided to sit on them because I know one day I will see a B/G deck I like and I’ll regret it thanks everyone!

That card isn't going to hold a 20-25 price range. The closest card to it is Abrupt Decay and I feel it will settle around the same price maybe slightly higher but not 20 bucks

If you're not going to use them, trading/selling them now guarantees that you'll get a good price. They'll drop in price in a few months once people have their playsets and more boxes are opened. If you're planning on playing BG in modern at any point in the future, I'd keep them so you don't need to re-buy them. However you could trade them into other modern staples like cryptic command or something if that's what you'd rather play.
(On a side note, I'm one of those BG players who would like to get a playset, so if you're interested in trading/selling your non-foil copies I know a guy :)
