Do you guys think Athreos, God of Passage will live up to his hype? Right now he is priced at $25. What do you expect him to be in a few months?

He'll certainly drop considerably. Thassa, God of the Sea is at about $12 I believe and she is played in one of the most played decks in the format. Athreos, God of Passage is one of the better gods to be printed, and he is certainly going to see some amount of play especially in Orzhov Humans. I expect him to settle around 8-10 dollars or so in a couple months. I think he'll see about as much play as Xenagod and he is at about 10 dollars.

I am pretty sure he will be like thassa right after Pro Tour Theros. She was really really good. The reason she has dropped is that people are prepared for mono blue and the deck isn't nearly as successful no as it used to be

I think there is a difference between being "overhyped" and being a good card. Athreos, God of Passage is a good card. Maybe it will not shine as much as it could do to cards like Deicide , but getting your creatures back and making your opponent lose life seems pretty good to me. It will see a lot of play in human based decks that can take advantage of Xathrid Necromancer

Depends entirely upon how well B/W/u humans does in the near future. If he turns it into a T1 deck, then his price will probably be similar to Thassa in her prime.
