Hey brothers, I am about to pull the trigger on either a Juzam Djinn or a Candelabra or Tawnos for my collection.

I also think about the chance of playing them. I know the Juzam is unplayable today and it’s value is 100% Collectible (how hard the mighty have fallen!)... but i am not sure on the playability of Candelabra, I know there are some very specific combos with 4+ cards (which I don’t like) since it’s has to be tapped... so I don’t think it’s much playable either...

What would you say is a better investment in terms of value/playability?

I would like to say that it is not that hard to combo with Candelabra of Tawnos . I will set the stage. A couple, maybe 5, untapped Island s, cast 2 High Tide s, play candelabra, make a ton of mana, Capsize , and you have a simple loop that is pretty easy to set up. Good luck destroying legacy events with the simplest combo ever!

In my super-limited understanding of things candelabra would be a lot more playable, and therefore maybe a better value. The other side of that coin, though, is that if more people pay attention to it...the Djinn might be more under-the-radar and harder to find? So more valuable..? I dunno, if I had to buy one right now I would probably go candelabra.

If this is for investment purposes go with juzam as you wont play it. Candelabra is great card and you might uo playing with it and decreasing its value.

Thanks brothers, I actually couldn’t decide and went with both this time.

I also managed to get a Time Spiral from Urza’s Saga, hope the price also goes up, but I think I will play it in my EDH decks as a replacement for Time Twister which I don’t yet own.
