BFZ Fat Pack Price Difference

I just preordered my BFZ fat pack from my local LGS for $35. I saw some that were up to $50. Are full art lands really enough to drive the price up that much?

What prices are everyone else getting them for? I'm kinda curious.

YES. They are. The community has wanted full art for so long now that everyone is pre-ordering them like crazy. Speculators are buying them out too. I think they will turn out to be even more expensive then they are right now.

Magic players will find any reason to flip out, buy out shit, drive the prices sky-high, and in general make lives miserable for the 95 percent of us that aren't made out of money.

So, in short, I got lucky then? Pricewise anyway.

Coinman1863 if no one in your area is snapping them up, you need to do it before someone gets the idea to do it and runs your LGS out of product.

Normally, I'm all for supporting your local lgs, but I actually think for the best price I'm gonna have to go to target or walmart because demand at my lgs is so high for these fat packs.

Well, I called today and wasn't sure on the price. I knew I could get one for $40 at the walmart nearby if my LGS was over $40. But I was shocked to learn that If I payed for it before prerelease it would be $35. Now that I think about it, the Walmat would be very empty in fat packs very fast.

Sadly, I can't buy more :(. Got to save my money for Prerelease. Fingers crossed for a promo tango land.

If anyone is interested I can post my LGS's website. You have to call to preorder and I'm pretty sure they ship out of state because the are a large seller on TGC player as long as you pay shipping.

May still be less than walmart even with tax.

Just remember: there will be a full art in every pack. The means 36 in a box, 6 at a prerelease, 3 per draft, etc. These things should flood. (Non-foils at least. Foils will probably stay super expensive.)

@SimicPower I do not think this is true. I think it is just for fat packs. Can you show me the wizards article where you got the info?

I guess that is a good source. If this is really true then fatpacks should be high in price, but yeah, this will flood everything.

The lands come in everything, so theres no reason to pay more than $40 for a fat pack. There's going to be so freaking many of these things, it's outrageous. We will never stop seeing these lands because everyone will have all that they need forever. Like, sure, buy a fat pack or two, but I think that people are failing to realize that these puppies are literally being pumped out a thousand a day for a year.

$27 for a fat pack @ elsewherecomics.com

Email the guy first and see what he charges for shipping.

Was on Elsewherecomics and it is good prices, but they want $25 dollars shipping to ship a box and two fat packs. So I glance at the address, and see "vermont" and think to myself... I can prob get to vermont and back for less than $25 in gas... and then I see IL. Nope. Gonna call my LGS and see what his prices are gonna be, $25 shipping might be better anyway.

Stuff like this makes me really, really grateful for my LGS. No preorders, stuff is sold at MSRP, and they get huge shipments of the stuff.

Hate to see others getting gouged, it's disgusting.

MSRP on fat packs is 39.99 USD

That's 53.06 plus tax in Canada.

Phew, good thing I decided to pre-order this stuff as soon as it was available for order for $40 CAD each.

Also a good thing I decided to not listen to my friend about buying them on release date. Guess I can "sell" him my fatpacks :)

MSRP on them is 53 CAD, I think I'm selling mine for 46ish CAD?

A lot of stores are also just arbitrarily marking them up now that they know there are full-art basics in them, which is gross of stores to do.
