BFZ Lands

Do you guys think now is a good time to stock up on the BFZ dual lands? They can be obtained for less than $5 a piece right now which seems low to me. Are they likely to go up in the future?

I don't see what's worth 'stocking up' on them for. They're not played heavily in any format other than Standard, and that's really only out of necessity for color fixing. Modern, Legacy, Vintage, Commander, and Tiny Leaders all have much better options for color fixing. I don't see them going much above Temple prices once they rotate.

Foil copies will be sought after for EDH decks, but otherwise I don't see a fundamental shift happening that would make them worth more than shocks (which are mostly under $10 themselves).

Both canterlotguardian and GeminiSpartanX are correct. They see no play outside of standard except maybe in commander, and that's only because they are fetchable dual lands. Similarly, Battle for Zendikar was a widely opened set, meaning there are A LOT of these lands floating around.

Yeah I was really asking if they would go up because of standard. There are obviously better options outside of standard.

I don't know, I could see them as a one of in a dual colored deck in modern.

it depends on how they'll interact with new cycles of lands when standard rotates, though really all the hunting for expeditions already demolished the value of almost any card in this set, which is bad news since it means the origins jace is heading towards a large price climb up until standard players dump him.

Terrvex- If the next set has a few "land types matter" cards (like Emeria, The Sky Ruin) or if cards like Emeria Shepherd get broken, then you could see a potential increase of a few dollars, but I think that's all you can hope for during standard.

When the fetch lands leave standard these will jump in price while they are in standard, and then re-fall to $5. If you play standard and want them for standard, then I would get them now... If you play any other format, then "meh, whatevs". I personally trade for them and the foil versions, but I have a crap ton of fodder to get rid of that is rotating in 2 months.

JuicyPVP, I imagine the opposite - when Fetches leave standard, these become significantly worse cards - I don't think they'll jump in price.

Idk. Fetches allow you to play basic lands in multicolored decks. I will agree that fetches synergize very well with the slow lands (duh). It could go any way really. It all depends on what lists win the big tournaments.

Fetch lands are very important/valued in all the eternal formats (including EDH) always and in standard currently. They'll slowly climb back to the price they were at before, but it will take awhile and will now be capped by the extra expedition printings, but they certainly won't lose value when they rotate, that s for certain.
