So a local store here is selling booster boxes on Friday for $80 even. They've got Kahns, Born of the Gods, Nyx, M15, and Theros. Just wanted some input on which one would be the best investment. I can only afford one, so I have to choose wisely. My first choice would be Khans, but I'm just wanting to know which set would give me the best chance for some awesome cards. Thanks in advance. :)

Id say khans. Fetchlands and lots of rares and even some commons/uncommons that are very relavent. Thats what I would go with

In terms of investments, Kahns. The more fetches you pull, the more money you can make a few years down the road. Plus planeswalkers and Kahns fetch a nice price now, and Dig through time and treasure cruise are turning out to be staples in other formats as well.

Theros has thoughtseize though

Thanks for the replies! What about in terms of the best set with playable cards for deck building?

Khans is best all around. No question about it. I'm getting a chinese Khans of Tarkir booster box for christmas i am pretty excited about.

Unless you are planning on leaving the box sealed and selling it 5 years down the road buying a box is not an investment.

It's more akin to gambling/buying a lottery ticket. Your highest odds for pulling money cards and breaking even is Khans.

If your looking to invest, don't buy a booster box, unless your looking to hold onto it for a good few years. Your better off buying fetch's currently.

But you see, the more people who buy Khans like you, the more the value of every card you pull from that box diminishes. This is why your average box will never profit you in the long run. It's actually quite an unfortunate reality.
