For value? Innistrad is probalby your best bet, but buying Booster Boxes for economic value rarely ever works out the way you want it too.

Born of the Gods is the next set in the Theros expansion. It drops in early February.
To be honest, if you don't need to bolster your collection with commons and uncommons, just buy singles. Only buy a box if you have a small collection and want to get a bunch more cards to build decks with.

With Standard, I'd say RTR and Theros. but yea, make sure to have extra money when BNG comes out

Well right now I only have about 300 cards and I'm looking for a deck box to just add a big pile of cards and just make a deck from there

If you're aiming to expand your collection, I suggest either preordering BNG or drafting. Drafts are a good way to expand your collection and your gameplay skills at the same time, and they tend not to be expensive.

Tbh I'm not the best mtg player I just started about 2 weeks ago I'm really enjoying the game and I have a couple friends that I play with as well so I feel like I'm not in the best position yet to play competitive

Drafts don't have to be competitive. Lots of players do it as an alternative to competitive constructed play. See if your LGS has any laid-back draft groups. Or split a box with your friends and draft from it.

A few things.
1) It's not out yet. Preorder prices are lower than retail prices, so you can get the product without spending as much.
2) It will be the newest set. The cards will be in demand, and they'll be at their release week high in value. You'll be able to trade away what you don't want while it's still worth something.
3) It's part of a block rather than a core set. Generally, block sets are worth more in the end.
4) It will be in Standard longer than RTR block and M14. If, down the road, you decide to get into competitive play, Standard is a good place to start. Standard legality also contributes a large amount to recent cards' prices.
