I just opened a Chandra, Torch of Defiance and Torrential Gearhulk in a Kaladesh draft and wanted to know if I should hold onto them or sell them. I did see that Chandra is in 6 of the Top 8 decks of the PT ranging from 2-4 copies. I've also heard some rumors that control, particularly grixis, will see a resurgence soon. Both cards could see play there. The gearhulk being, well, the gearhulk, and Chandra being a good utiliy card as well as something to ramp into a T5 Nicol Bolas, God-Pharaoh. However, I still wanted to hear your opinion: Should I hold or sell/trade?

They're both extremely playable in modern. I'd keep them.

Yeah I was watching Torrential Gearhulk be played (effectively) in Modern today at the NRG CT. It's just a bigger beatstick Snapcaster Mage.

Both will see play in modern, in my opinion Chandra, Torch of Defiance more so. Basically, if you can afford to hold onto them do as Gearhulk could easily rise to Snapcaster prices if modern and legacy control players find ways to make it work as a win-con, and then Chandra already shows up in modern so her price is likely going to stay around where it is but it could rise because of the current standard. It could be risky but waiting for Ixalan spoilers could be worth it as then you know what is getting support.

Whatever you do, don't sell the Gearhulk.
