Me and my friends are really into drafting boosters in our small playgroup. The problem is, this gets really expensive when we buy from our LGS. So I was wondering what the cheapest place to buy sealed product is?

well you could go full bulk online, buy a large enough package of sealed product and it could be as low as $2 per pack. There's a lot of websites.

You could also stock up during preorder times. The prices will be lower, and you'll have the product at release time (which makes it much better for trading if you draft at least once during release week).

Assuming theros, prices per set change (A case of m14 is cheaper by 50$ than theros and box is 10$ cheaper).

if you buy a case 6 booster boxes, at 555, you're looking at around 2.50 per pack. The 555,is the cost for the current least expesive box + shipping.on tcg.

A box at 100$ is 2.70 per pack.

These being the average of what you expect to pay for bulk sealed.

Which is what you're looking at, a savings of 1.30 per pack (assuming a 4$ price tag).

If you and 7 friends and each pitched in 70-75$ you could get a case. Which is less than a box. 13$ each gets you a box.

a case can get you 9 drafts, and a box gets you 1 draft with 12 packs left over for prizes. This isassuming 8 person drafts. If less or more, adjust appropriately.

36 packs in a box, 216 packs in a case (6*36).

The pre-order costs are dependent on the store, specifically ownership. I paid 110-115 a box for preordering theros, the store charged 130 after pre-orders. A recent change in ownership lowered the cost to 100$ a box from the 130, I expect pre-order to be in the 90-95$ range for the next release. Instead of going online for cheaper I paid the cost because the buy-a-box promo isn't available to online buyers and I like my lgs ownership. FYI, I believe costs are about 75$ a box for my lgs from the distributor.

ask for discounts, i get boxes for $90-$95 any day of the week, was getting $90 military pricing from one store, but the barly had stock so my favorite LGS offered me $95 (instead of $110) per box, and they always have boxes in stock, including modern masters, innistrad, etc

sometimes if you buy a lot you can get a little discount as well, like if youre buying a case a month ask if you can get $5 off per box instead of saving up for a case at a time. Case price by me I believe is like $525+tax so $87.50 per box preoder + discount

Buy online if you want to get ones out of print. My LGS is selling boxes of RTR for $160 now, when they're about $95 online plus shipping.
