My buddy and I noticed that the price of Cyclonic Rift has surpassed Supreme Verdict according to TCG.
I primarily follow standard and I see Cyclonic Rift showing up in Mono-Blue Devotion as a two of, while Supreme Verdict shows up in both UW Control and Esper Control almost always as a four of.
My question is, where else is the card showing up and/or what is causing the price to be around $5?

It's a great EDH card. You can clear the board, and then bring it back with Snapcaster Mage or Archaeomancer , and copy it with Elite Arcanist .

I think the reason it's up in price right now is because people weren't using it pre-Theros, so more people are buying them. Verdict has been used in Standard for almost a year, and people who play control already had a playset of them.

I've always enjoyed the card, but it never really had a home until Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx popped up.

...Wow... the foil Cyclonic Rift that I bought for $2 has finally reached a reasonable value! ($12 on StarCityGames)
I believe a lesser played Prophet of Kruphix ramp deck plays a couple.
Any Bant deck would likely use them.
