So I pulled a copy of Dark Confidant today out of modern masters and I noticed he was down to $40 which is ridiculous! I know hes seeing less play but do you think itd be smarter to keep ahold of him and wait for his price to spike back up or do you think hes fairly stable for a while?

Long term I would keep it, short term it still has a little ways to drop before it rises.

I honestly don't think he will raise much if at all. He has seen reduced play in both legacy and vintage and inconsistent play in modern depending on the abzan deck of the week. On top of this it looks like he will be one of the staple mythics in the modern masters sets and see a reprint every time they make a modern masters set so his price will stay lowish now.

@seuvius it'll be a while til it gains the momentum needed to make any decent profit. By long term I mean a year to two and that's if you dump before the next modern masters comes out. The gain by then would be about 20 by my guess. I'd say either trade it now before it drops a little more or finish the playset in a month or two. Personally I will be picking up a play set then and my guess the price should settle in the mid to late 30s, then very little by little creep up. Keep in mind this is my personal opinion based on how often it is used currently.
