I have absolutely no clue why, probably because it's in modern and currently if it's modern legal it's a target for a buyout. That seems to be how modern has been going recently

Pox. That's why. People are speculating on Pox builds to hate against Tron and Eldrazi.

It is also a staple card in B/W Tokens and G/W Hatebears since you can use it for mana fixing when your Ghost Quarter aren't useful. Flagstones of Trokair lets you get non-basic Plains

Nah, you guys are missing the big reason. This decklist got first at an SCG Invitational, and runs both Flagstones and Boom/Bust as a 4-of. The hype train made the price rise pretty quickly.
Glimmervoid is also at an all-time high of $45.

Foil Glistener Elf is at $10 and Blighted Agent is at $84
January 23, 2016 3:40 p.m.
Didgeridooda says... #8
That is really weird. Why is the agent so much higher?
January 23, 2016 3:48 p.m.
Didgeridooda I think it's because of the built in unblockable, there for, it's stronger in Modern infekt because it will hit barring something like removal.

Servo_Token says... #10
It's because the elf has a second foil printing as some promo. There's like a billion more foil elves.
January 23, 2016 4:31 p.m.
I don't know if this has been mentioned already but Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth has risen from $8 to $20 over the last two weeks, Im guessing that this is because of the rise of Eldrazi in Modern?

Servo_Token says... #14
Just as a blanket statement, if there's a card that has ever seen play in the eldraxi deck, and it's price has gone up, the reason is because it was in that deck. Like, that will always be the reason forever.
January 24, 2016 5:12 p.m.
Yep, like Rest in Peace as a SB option, it doubled within the last few weeks. Was $1.5, now $3. I think it will rise higher.

Question: Why did Gaddock Teeg double in price on month ago?
January 25, 2016 1:39 p.m.
Servo_Token says... #18
It's only been printed once, and it sees marginal play in modern and legacy, so someone bought it out.
January 25, 2016 1:47 p.m.
Gaddock Teeg is also from Lorwyn, which wasn't drafted heavily. He's in the same boat as Bitterblossom, Cryptic Command, and Thoughtseize were in before reprints. Heritage Druid, Scapeshift, Rings of Brighthearth, Greater Auramancy, Flooded Grove, Bloom Tender, et al fit into this category as well.
Lorwyn/Shadowmoor just weren't drafted in high volumes. Most of the cards have inflated prices because of this.

Yesss... Bought them at like $3.
Also Crucible of Worlds is upwards of $73. Seems good.
January 25, 2016 5:31 p.m.
Well, there goes Treasure Hunt Promo
I liked that art too. Should have had them sooner.
This one seems like its just the special print, I have more than just my doubts to go on to believe zombie hunt is doing this well. o.O
January 26, 2016 4:21 p.m.
Hell's Blazes! That's possibly a typo, but Pull from Eternity did the same thing so it may settle back to ~50 like Pull.

brokendwarf says... #27
My LGS currently has 3 Treasure Hunt for $1.05 each. Scoop them or is it just hype?
January 26, 2016 5:16 p.m.
Servo_Token says... #28
It's probably just like one collector who got a fat paycheck. There's similar to a metric zero people that give Treasure hunt any real play.

Doubling Season and Glimmervoid are both at all-time highs.

Zedruu the Greathearted is up like 500 percent for no discernable reason.
January 27, 2016 10:38 a.m.
canterlotguardian The only thing I can think of is no Rule 4 in EDH.

Hmm, I don't see a 500% increase, but it has been on an upward trend recently.

Really? Do people think Storm can make a comeback now that Twin's banned or something?
January 28, 2016 1:59 p.m.
I'm a big fan of storm coming back. lol Easy wins for everyone!
January 28, 2016 2:12 p.m.
Servo_Token says... #42
I feel like $8 doesn't really warrant anything special. It's always been like a $6 card. Some people just happen to have obtained a blank UR deck and they're looking for something new to do. I don't think that storm is actually going anywhere that it hasn't been already, it's just modern season being modern season. Cards get more expensive. I Don't think we really need to note these tiny insignificant changes.

Since when is Goblin Guide $150??? I got mine for $40 six months ago....
Any reason it jumped? Is that just a grand prix promo thing or did burn suddenly increase in popularity or what?
January 28, 2016 8:07 p.m.
A normal, non foil, non promo Chainer's Edict is now $4 on SCG and $4.50 TCG Mid, and I'm struggling to understand why... Buyout I presume
January 28, 2016 8:28 p.m.
ThisIsBullshit says... #47
Legends card, so fairly rare, and a very new seller has only that particular card listed, for $100
January 28, 2016 10:51 p.m.
Has Cyclonic Rift been on a steady rise? RTR print was $3 now $5, and C14 printing is up to $8.
January 29, 2016 8:01 a.m.
Servo_Token says... #49
Rift has been a 7-8 card for a while, if i'm not mistaken. It's an EDH Staple.

No it was at $3 for both copies for a minute now. I was just about to come here and post about it too. Lol
