Anyone else feel like this card is going to fall in price really fast? It's a good card...2cmc for exile target creature is nice, but will it really do enough work in application to warrant $9+?

Get rid of them now while they're high. If it was an instant, then I'd say that there's a chance it would see Modern/legacy play, but at sorcery speed it will be a standard staple only.

My thoughts exactly. If I wasn't using two of them I'd unload all I have.

I'm not gonna lie, it's been nice testing with it but at the same time it's had it's downsides. Especially against the token decks I've seen. I'm not a fan of them getting the clue token clause though, even though it does require them investing 2 mana to get a random card. Obviously being random they can easily draw something not useful in that situation, but it still doesn't change the fact your giving them a draw they wouldn't normally have. Being a sorcery also sucks. I can't tell you how many times I couldn't use my mana efficiently because I had to cast that during my main phase which consequently has led to me getting farther behind when my opponent cast multiple spells the very next turn. Maybe I'm not as impressed as when I first saw it spoiled because of the fact that the deck I'm testing it in is Abzan and between things like Grasp of Darkness and Anguished Unmaking it already has some great instant speed answers but there are definitely times where this has been clunky and the downside of my opponent getting to draw as well has been relevant. And at the same time, it's also come in quite handy later in the game where I can answer a huge threat of my opponents and follow it up with a threat of my own.

I'd guess that it ends up in the $5-$6 range, it's solid removal but it's not the best removal spell in standard. However, if is as popular as it seems in testing I could see this easily staying where it's at. The majority of the decks I play against in testing online are either white aggro decks, /x decks, or /x/x and basically every one of them is running Declaration in Stone as a 4 of. It'll come down to what actually succeeds in the meta after rotation. Like I said, the majority of the decks I play against in testing have white, but that doesn't mean they'll all be successful enough to survive the rest of the meta.

I am playing UW tempo...again. Played it during the cycle that is ending now as well. This card is basically Silkwrap 5, 6, 7, and 8 in that deck but certainly sucks when I want to play my 4-5 drop and have to remove something all on my turn. Right now I have only 2 in the side but I actually think I may main deck them and move Stasis Snare to the side just for cmc sake. I don't have amazing removal in UW yet, but white usually has situational removal: color specific, attacking, etc. I usually end up stronger game 2 for that reason on a weak match up.

The card has serious give/take going on here. It can be a 2cmc remove small annoying threat and let opponent draw into something cool. It can be remove giant threat late game and let opponent draw something. My favorite use has been to hose a recently deceased Hangarback Walker or remove an end of turn Secure the Wastes. Nothing but advantage in that last instance.

Is it a 4 of? Maybe right now since white has limited blanket removal spells that aren't Stasis Snare or Silkwrap. Really wish white would get Planeswalker removal, but I am UW so Negate is almost as good. If white gets better removal from the next set I see this card being a 2 of in side at best and around the same $ as Hallowed Moonlight was sitting as tech against Rally. I feel like this card had to be made to balance out the new Sorin, Grim Nemesis ultimate both flavor wise and for the sake of the very real situation of facing 20+ vampires.

DiS specifically states by the way, that the opponent investigates for each NONTOKEN creature exiled this way.

Just got even better against tokens.

I didn't think that was not known? I mean...it's worth it to exile say...Avacyn, the Purifier  Flip. But it's a no brainer to take out Sorin's army of 20+ vamps or a Hangarback army of leftovers

Good Standard removal tends to generate a lot of hype. Hero's Downfall became a major staple of the format and peaked at $15. By the time BNG came out, it had fallen below $10.
