Difference between foreign and domestic cards in price

I just ended up buying a few Goblin Rabblemaster s off of eBay, and the seller ended up telling me after the auction was over they were in Japanese. Is that going to affect the price all that much? I am not all that fond of foreign cards but I do know that aesthetically they are the same thing, and they are tournament legal and all that jazz. Am I going to lose a few bucks per card, gain a few bucks, or will they hold about the same value?

People usually give extra value to non-English cards, but unless they're foil, it's very marginal. Biggest languages are usually Japanese, Korean, and Russian.

Depending on who you talk to, you could either lose a few dollars on the whole, or be up $50.

It's really a personal preference on foreign cards in the US. When it comes to shops, most don't like to buy or deal with foreign, so if you were looking to sell them eventually, you're on the rougher side of the deal if that's your only opt.

But really, there's only a couple of cards (large namesakes like Liliana of the Veil and other eternal cards) that significantly increase in value in foreign. The rest are pretty much the same.

Thanks. I appreciate the fast responses. Basically I am looking at no real difference if I decide to sell or trade them. Thanks. That's what I wanted to know.

Most of the time foreign has a slight premium, but depending on where you are planning to play these (at what REL) you may need to print off the oracle text or have it exactly memorized so you can tell your opponent what the oracle text is exactly. (At regular REL oracle text is considered free information so if asked you must be able to give exact oracle text. At competitive and pro it is derived and it is up to your opponent to figure out the oracle text. Judge's Corner dealing with free/derived/privet information)

Any REL that has a judge (so, non-kitchen table), you are able to ask that judge for oracle text of any given foreign card. This is probably the better option, because you shouldn't trust your opponent's explanation at any competitive event. Granted, this is advice for the other side of the board, but I thought it'd be relevant nonetheless.

I am aware you are allowed to ask a judge at any REL. At Regular though it is considered free information. As such you must answer it and answer it truthfully if asked. If you are unable to answer it you can call a judge to assist. The thing is though that the onus isn't on your opponent to call the judge at Regular. At Regular REL you are expected to be able to give the full Oracle text of your cards.
