Dig Through Time: Sell/Trade or Hold?

I have 2 copies of Dig Through Time . It was a standout card from the ProTour and its price has recently jumped up to $13 average on TCG player, and I was thinking of trading/selling sooner rather than later, but I was interested in other people's advice.
Is it going to drop in price, maintain its current price, or continue to increase? When would be a good time to trade/sell?
Thanks and appreciate any opinions/advice.
it was a weekly winner on mtgstocks.com last week, and that was before the pro tour. here is the article.
it still looks to be on the way up, but i can't imagine it climbing too much higher, maybe to $20? you can probably keep a close eye on it for the next few weeks, and unload whenever you think it's stabilizing.
this set is also going to be the highest selling set of all time, so i don't think too many rares will maintain a high price, due to the amount of packs being cracked in search of fetchlands.

Well then, that's nice. I'm glad I picked up my copies when they were three dollars a piece :D

I was about to buy a playset when it was at $5... I didn't.

Sell into hype.
Got mine at $.75 a card after it was spoiled.

Got my playset for $11 at pre-release - I shoudl probably sell it, but I'd rather just use them for my deck - it'll see eternal play, so it's never going to bottom out.

Oh yes i forgot to answer your question. Absolutely sell. The card will not hold its value if you ask me.

Treasure Cruise at common is pretty much just better in eternal formats, so this is almost sure to just be the standard Sphinx's Revelation this season.
Sell it if you're not into that sort of thing.

I don't know about that. Dig works much better with my modern deck that Delvecestral Recall does - even with the extra mana, the filtering just really really helps.

Sure, there's fringe cases where the rarity matters, but Treasure Cruise picks up more cards for a less restrictive mana cost. And since your deck is just packed full of things you want anyway, why not just get more of the things that you want?
At least that's my understanding of why the common is preferred and used.

If you're not planning to use it, then selling now seems like a good idea. It's a very good card, and it will likely be a staple for as long as it's in standard. But $13 seems inflated given how much KTK will be opened.

If anyone needs them, I have 6 Dig Through Time for trade (bought two playsets at $2 each and pulled two in packs).
Looking for fetches mainly.

Does this common opinion of sell/trade still apply if the Dig Through Time is foil?
October 13, 2014 9:18 p.m.
I always look to trade foils ASAP. I don't cate one squat if their shiny.

I actually care a few squats if they're shiny - but only to avoid them.

I say keep them. Treasure Cruise is on the ban speculation because of the shit it does to U/R Delver and all forms of storm in modern. When that happens, Dig Through Time will replace Treasure Cruise s spot. I mean, you still have legacy value for Treasure Cruise , but legacy value doesn't trump modern value currently.

i could see holding onto the foil for a while. i don't know what kind of timeline it would be on to go up, but cubes and edh decks will be wanting foils forever. nothing wrong with selling it now for $30, but after a few years i could see it being $60+

after looking at the next 7 years for only 4 mana, i think you should hold onto it longer. (understand the joke?)

One does not simply ask if others understand the joke.

Like that retarded (get it?) thing that FB has. A joke has failed if you have or need to point it out.

I'm pretty sure Dig Through Time and Treasure Cruise were jokes, and accidentally got printed. Now those are some good jokes.

ok, do you guys understand the joke i made?
@GlistenerAgent Tarmogoyf and Black Lotus were jokes too
October 15, 2014 5:12 p.m.
TheRedDude says... #31
nope the joke is that the joke failed due to me asking if you understand and you did and pointed out that it failed which was the jokee by asking if you understood it making the joke work because the joke is the joke failing, made possible by me asking if you understood, which caused the joke to fail and therefore work

Nah, I'm pretty sure you just asked us if we got your joke. The repetition of sentences and attempted jokeception don't hide that well.
