Do you think Rending Volley will become expensive?

So I noticed that the foil version is around $5.00 online as far as TCG is showing me. Even the regular version is quite good when you consider it's cost to what it can deliver.
So the question I have is do you think I, or we, should be investing in this card now? I've already missed the boat on so many staples like Serum Visions, Abrupt Decay and Inquisition of Kozilek so I want to make sure this isn't another ship that'll sail away from me. Particularly because I already want some now, in foil, but am not sure about $5.00 for foil when Mirran Crusader is a cheaper foil and can actually beat people up.
While it's true those are main playable and Rending Volley is not I still worry that if I don't get mine now the price will go up in say 1-2 years time and if more good or creatures are printed for modern people will be buying them in the future.
Eh are you sure? Rending Volley in foil is already 2-3 dollars higher in every catagory (Low, Med, High) than combust in foil and rending is still in standard right now.

Considering that it is only played in the sideboard, I don't think that it will. It might just be going up because people are switching to it.

Yeah this is just a more efficient Combust Just look to the history of Combust's pricing. I think that should be a pretty solid guide. It's not doing anything new or different. It's just doing something another card was doing better.

I don't really think this can become expensive. It's a fantastic card but it is an uncommon from a highly opened set that you only ever want 2-3 copies of in a sideboard.

No, foils are not hard to find and it's a very niche card. Don't invest.

It destroys Twin. As long as Twin is a major force in Modern (which I think it will remain for a while), this'll follow. Probably at 4 dollars.

It's too specified to skyrocket in value. Notice how most multicolor cards are never that expensive? Same reason. I mean AD is at 15 & Geist at 20 but beyond that...

Hm ok based on the commenting from you guys/gals, who probably have much more experience than me in MTG finance, i've decided to just buy 3 foils now for myself. If they go up a little great, if not that's fine. I'll just keep them for sideboard options as I continue to enjoy the new cards and strategies available in modern.
TLDR: I'm going to get a few, but not invest.

Okay, so you ask everyone's opinion, then go ahead and decide against that anyway? Good for you

It will be like combust. 4-5 dollars in foil.
