Dragonlord Ojutai long term value

I want to build an azorius standard deck on a reletive budget. Of course Archangel Avacyn Flip is an obvious choice but is very expensive right now and that wont do. Dragonlord Ojutai is significantly cheaper than he used to be but he will rotate out soon, and I don't really want to spend $60 on a playset unless he will retain value post-rotation. What do you project his long term price to be?
Honestly, that is where I see him in about 6 months, post-rotation. He is good for EDH, but too slow for Modern or Vintage. Most "good for EDH" cards don't go too high, unless they are those that can break the game open, and Dragonlord Ojutai is not one that can do that all alone. He needs to be part of a deck, not the central piece of a deck. He is a $5 card post-rotation.
The other side is, will you get the value out of him and out of the deck before he rotates out? If so, then the cost is worth it. If you will get the enjoyment, the potential of winning, etc., then that can offset the cost in money any day.
At the end of the day, that is the real question, the cost vs. reward.

What's your budget? That as important as what cards you should get. What I mean is that a playset of Ojutai won't win games with the rest of the deck being "bad". Maybe grab 3 of him and use another budget finisher. I have incredible success with Pearl Lake Ancient when I played UB control. Flash was just awesome.

I kind of figured. The only decks i can think of that use him is standard esper dragons, so his price will probably tank. He is good, but not worth $15 long run. I'm just looking for a good higher cmc creature win-con for UW standard thats also cheap. so suggestions are appreciated. It's blink control so archangel avacyn would be perfect, but $200 for a playset hurts

He's ran in modern U/W control.
I agree with the rest though, will drop significantly post rotation.
Honestly standard is never worth it. No matter what you play you'll be loosing money.

5 bucks at most. If he is not played in eternal formats that will sustain his price tag by now, he won't ever be. Commander appeal is the only thing with him, but that is not really enough.
