we all know its going to go up post rotation...what is the speculation price at this point though? will it be Lily worthy? or higher?
Deathrite Shaman for all that don't know.
I am thinking, unless there is a reprint in the next 2 sets...DRS will eclipse $50....

I don't really think it will jump that high that soon. Sure it's an important card, but there will be enough supply for a while. It will probably creep past $20 within a few years or so (post-rotation), but I don't see it spiking to $50. It's not even $15 on TCG right now.
At least, that's how I feel right now.

Mythic Rare vs Rare is the problem with this going much higher anytime soon. If it's not reprinted in the next 3 years, it might spike up to 40, it might stay around 20-25, depending on the changes and additions to the meta for modern and legacy in that time. Personally, I love him, important card, but I do wish I could drop him pod for other threats. In esper death blade (legacy) I wouldn't trade him for anything.

@ gufymike that's how I feel too. If I could run something else I would, but he does so much for so many different shells that it's often just a bad decision to not run him.

his best use is to eat removal though...kinda sad..but it's true....

i like to think of him as reading " pay 1 mana to have target player discard a removal spell from their hand' and if they don't....profit....

I could see it hitting 25-30. Don't anticipate a reprint anytime soon. Hybrid mana really doesn't come around that often.
I do feel 20 a couple weeks ago was fair, although demand will drop a little when he rotates out it's not particularly high for standard right now anyway as he's not nearly as good as he is in the other major formats. We'll see.

Definitely the best one-drop creature ever printed. I would not be surprised if he hit $40 in two years.

I grabbed my playset for 11 a piece a couple weeks ago, so I'm happy. I suppose I could have waited for rotation, but I expect him to be broken (again) in standard before rotation, so I wanna play with him then too.
