Enemy fetches: pick up now, or wait?

Specifically Marsh Flats. I need one for my commander deck, and with the rumors going around about enemy fetch reprints in Battle of Zendikar, I'm curious.
Should I continue hunting around for one or should I wait until BoZ and see if they reprint the fetches?

Buy your one. If you miss, you miss, if you make it, whatever. It'll be like a $10 difference. If this matters to you over the course of a few months, wait it out.

If it is just one, there isn't that much to lose, especially since Marsh Flats is one of the cheaper Zendikar fetches as is. It depends on how patient you are. One idea would try to trade one off someone who thinks they are going to be reprinted in BoZ so you can get a much cheaper price. Then, even if they are not reprinted, you will have gotten a good deal, and if they are reprinted you will have one of the more sought after old ones anyway.

Sorry to be the devil's advocate, but it is BAttle FOR Zendikar so BFZ.

Considering these fetches were 4 times their current price not so long ago, I'd say get what you need.

Well, October is seven months away. Do you really want to wait that long to save $10-15 (and no more than that)?

What do you guys think about Scalding Tarn? I could use 2 more for a deck, but I am unsure if it is worth it considering I have been playing much more Standard than Modern recently. What do you think the price of ZEN Scalding Tarn will be after a reprint?

Well, when the shocklands were reprinted they went from like $35-40 each (paper) to about $10-15. However the fall did take a long, long time. I would posit that fetchlands will similarly fall. However, if you play modern and want the card then is $20-$30 really a massive deal? Really depends on how you feel about waiting, bearing in mind you will be waiting a long time.

The thing is if you save $20 on buying a fetchland later, you'll probably be able to buy 1-2 more with that spare cash.

The originals will actually probably stay about where they are. I'm assuming enemy fetches (if they are reprinted) will probably have new art.

The reprinted shocklands had new art, originals still tumbled in price. Its probably because people opened Ravnica, and will open Zendikar so much the market is just absolutely flooded with them.

Shocks and fetches are very different animals. The OG blue shocks have settled around $40. The Zen blue shocks are currently around $35-$50 and there's still plenty of demand. I can see them dropping maybe $10 more on reprint, but the demand for the originals will still be there to separate the prices in my opinion.

For edh id say just buy it, prices will likely mimic the khans except as far as older goes prices will be less than onslaught as zen was already more plentiful, so id say prolly $10 blues with $20-25 original zen blues, can already buy mistys for $30 and ive seen tarns dropping tk about $40ea. Also weigh $ made from winning vs waiting, if you need them to play a deck and win $30, that makes up for not saving $20

One Marsh Flats in an EDH deck is not going to win $30.
It should also be noted that there are many more Zendikar fetches on the market than Onslaught fetches, so it's not a great analogy.

It'll be interesting; I suspect enemy fetches will drop down to about where ally fetches are now (if you don't care about the printing). You could potentially save a bunch of money by waiting.
On the other hand though, it's 7 months away. If you need it now, there are better ways to make $20 over a half year than denying yourself a card.
(I suspect that the Enemy fetches will drop considerably. Yes, the Zendikar fetches are already a lot more available than the Onslaught fetches were, but the reprinting of ally fetches also opened up those cards to entirely new formats, which also increased demand)

This is, of course, assuming the Zendikar fetches do get reprinted.

The first Ravnica set came out in 2005, then we returned there in 2012 with a reprint of the shocks, a 7 year difference. Zendikar came out in 2009, and now we're going back there in 2015 which is a 6 year difference. I think it's very likely that zendikar fetches will see a reprint due to continuing high demand for them as the game continues to grow in popularity. I'm not selling the ones I already have, but I will pick up the ones that I missed out on the first time around.

I'd wait, I think that wizards will reprint them in BoZ. If they get reprinted the price will definitely drop, like the onslaught fetches.
