I already know that there are tones of threads about the new fetch lands just released. I want to know everyone's opinion on pricing on the old vs New ally lands once they are released. Do you guys think they all will skyrocket once released? Will the onslaught fetches go down or up in price? Anyone that has an opinion or any information just let if flow. I wanna hear your thoughts.

pre release sales are around 20 each. @The Doctor
I imagine they will be around 15 while they are in standard

Your probably be right, but here is the real brain teaser. Since the announcement of the lands, not to mention the new layout of the cards, which will go down in price effectively upon realease and after a few weeks? The new art fetch lands or the onslaught fetch lands. Which will be more and how will it all be effected?

The onslaught ones have already plummeted. That's not a brain teaser at all.
The new ones should be around $15-20. Not as expensive as mutavault because not everyone needs the same one - it's a demand distributed across 5 cards.

original printings tend to usually see more in price than their reprints, like the shocks the original ones were just a tad more expensive than the RTR ones, however, modern players finally have fetches they can use to suit their needs which would leave me to believe these reprints will be higher priced than their originals. There will be a lot of supply out there though for this set as people are going to draft and open boosters like no tomorrow.

$10-$15 for the KTK versions once the price settles.

It's not true with these though. The old ones aren't modern playable previously and were therefore already quite cheap. The old ones might not be more expensive. Also the art is worse in my opinion.

00xtremeninja that is what I wanted people thinking about. After everyone thought that the modern masters pre-build deck was a opportunity to replrint fetch lands, I think wizards noticed how pricey and outrageous decks were considering they only used specific fetches from zendicar, not to mention a lot playing birthing pod decks in tournaments. The way I look at it is that they did a emergency reprint for prices to go down and help out the modern community since we only had four fetch cards to choose from unlike legacy players who have an all around basis. This is my thought on why. What's yours?

@unbendingsea: I don't think it's right to call this an "emergency" reprint. Useful? Yes. But R&D is generally very careful about what they print and when. Everyone knew that the fetches wouldn't be reprinted while the shocks were in Standard, and the community has also been asking for fetches for a long time now. The Modern community in particular has been asking for fetches to help round out the decklists; many decks could exist if they had better on-color support.
On top of that, we have the news about the change in Standard rotation and in future set schedule, so Khans is a nice choice because it helps allay some of the apprehension about the final three-set block by increasing demand.

unbendingsea Wizards knew all along what they were doing, and I don't think it is so much as an emergency printing, but a multi purpose printing. People have been pining for fetch reprints for a while because the prices are super high, so not to mess up standard, wait until rotation and reprint fetches. BUT! give the people the Onslaught fetches, so that the Modern community will blow up over it. This in turn means $$$$ spent on the product. Wizards doesn't care about secondary markets, etc etc. Sure they have the reserved list, but Maro himself has said how he hates it. I am sure other employees hate it too. Why? because it stifles them from making big bank. Wizards could absolutely distroy the values on the secondary markets and collectors markets if they decided to ignore the reserved list, however, they know that keeps a certain demographic of their community happy. So its a rock and a hard place.
These fetches are getting people insanely hyped, and this is being anticipated as being one of the most opened sets. That's awesome for them as it means fat cash in their pockets. Imagine how many preorders would be made on cases, not boxes, but cases if they said "screw it, lets reprint the original dual lands!" Collectors would be devistated, modren players and casual players would be out of their effing minds.

Compared to this time last month, the SCG M/NM price for a full playset of ONS Fetches has dropped 40% and the TCGPlayer Median has dropped 16%. Current TCGPlayer Median prices are higher overall than SCG M/NM, most likely due to some of TCGPlayer's indexed sellers being behind on updating their prices.
The essential question: is this correct? The way things look right now, RAV-block shocks will have lost about 25-30% of their pre-RTR-block values after the upcoming Standard rotation. ONS fetches are a special case, as prices have been seriously distorted by the passage of time, but now they're also suddenly legal in one of the most popular constructed formats the game has ever seen.
Perhaps in anticipation of the demand pressure for ZEN fetches in Modern relaxing significantly, SCG M/NM for a playset of those is down 25%. TCGPlayer Median is only down 5% (again, probably just lag).

Would this mean that we could see a drop in some of the Zendikar fetches? particularly Misty Rainforest and Scalding Tarn since there will be other options for blue fetches with Flooded Strand and Polluted Delta
September 2, 2014 6:44 p.m.
Stone_Munkee I think you are correct about that, I was thinking the same thing. USA wont need misty rainforest anymore, jund wont need marsh flats or scalding tarn anymore. All decks will have their appropriate fetches, so decks that were running fetches half out of their colors wont have to any more.

100% correct on the price dropping on Zen Fetches. I play online and the news that the ONS are being released in KTK has had all the fetches plummeting. I plan on picking up some of those fetches, but am unsure if their printing will allow for a big impact in the meta as a whole. Still, seems to be a good investment.

I just looked at verdant catacombs. They were averaging about $200 for 4 a few weeks ago. Currently down to $160 for 4. I just bought a play set on ebay for 80 which is $135. That's like $34 each. Down from $50.

on release probably $30-40 then it will drop to 20-25
