Financial Crash of 2007-2008

I didn't get into MTG Finance during the year of 2007-2008, but I was wondering for those who kept track of your collection and its price, did the financial crash of 2007-2008 affected the overall price of mostly every card?

Just interesting to think about.

The finances of the game have changed greatly since then. Modern and EDH are both pretty big deals now. Which makes more cards hold value.

There are also more hoarded cards. I think a financial crash would see its way in to the game.
