Financial Spike of Mutavault

Is it me or is Mutavault is too damn low at $10-$12 right now.... this card used to be in the $30-$50 range.

And especially with tribal decks getting much attention with modern elves and modern merfolks... is there a reason why this card is low or how has this card dipped to the $10 range?

Thoughts?

The card is fresh off a reprint and it was $30-$50 when it was used in basically one of the only decks you could play if you wanted to be competitive in Standard (Mono Black Devotion... RATS FOR DAYS).

I'm with 8vomit. The card's likely to go up in the future. How much will remain to be seen. I must make note that there's a slim chance that either the Zendikar manlands will see reprints or we'll get enemy-colored manlands. The availability of alternative manlands can influence Mutavault's price in the future to some degree. Still, pure speculation here.

With Goblins and Elves with the potential to now push tier 1-1.5, I think Mutavault is a solid pick-up. Can easily jump to $20+ overnight.

I got 8 copies in NM for about $5 each when they rotated out, you're all late to jump on the wagon!

It'll go up. Had this argument with some fool before that thought they never would. Tribal is always a big deal and that makes mutavault a good, good card.

They'll go up eventually. They're staples in one major deck or another in basically every format except Standard.

just bought into a playset of japanese mutavaults. Working on picking up foils now. They will easily become $20 within a year. Tribal decks are all over and will continue to grow. See the increase in modern elves and likely increase in modern goblins due to the recent addition of goblin piledriver.

After reading this thread the day it was posted, I liked the reasoning and agreed with all the thoughts. I was able to trade into 2 to use as trade fodder, since I already have my playset.

That day they were at $11.54 TCG mid. Today they are at $14.30.

Not huge gains but it seems like you folks called it.
