I am preparing to begin selling on TCGplayer for the first time once the semester is over. Once I reset my debit card with the bank, I should be ready to sell shortly thereafter. That said, I was thinking about selling:
Sorin, Solemn Visitor and Emblem
Mantis Rider foil
Goblin Rabblemaster pack foil
Other non-standard cards I have considered selling due to my expecations that in the long-run (next 4 years) they will go down more or be reprinted:
Flames of the Blood Hand Fire and Lightning deck foil
There may have been a few more things, but in general that was it. I don't play standard, pretty much only modern. That said, I guess I'm just asking, should I hold onto any of these? Which do you guys see going up or down four years down the road?
Well, I was thinking more for Modern Masters 2. I think I'll keep the Linvala, then, especially because my friend is displaying interest.
Should I keep the Ascendancy? What about Griselbrand?

I doubt Ascendancy is gonna spike particularly hard. There are murmurs of the only deck outside of Standard that uses it soon-to-be-banned, and if that happens then there's nothing to keep the price up.
Not sure about Gris. Off the top of my head, I don't forsee a reprint anytime soon, but I'm no expert.

Promos don't usually affect the price of the actual card. At most the price of a foil Gris will take a bit of a dive.

There are so few foil promos printed for grand prix, it will hardly drive down the price. That is quite a cool promo, though. Not sure what I want to do with Griselbrand yet.

I'd hold onto Grisel and Linvala, I don't see them dropping or getting reprinted anytime soon. Ascendancy is a gamble, if it gets banned then price drop here we come but if that doesn't happen I could see it as a 10 dollar card long term, around there anyways. Everything else will either drop or "should" have a reprint within a year or more, not including standard cards.

I would hold the Ascendancy for now. It could see a ban in Modern, but that's unlikely to happen in the immediate future. The new Jeskai Tokens deck looks very good, and it could become a bigger player in standard as a result (same could be said about the Fatestitcher version of it in Modern). KTK prices are also near their floor right now, so I don't see much motivation to sell just yet.

If they're at their floor, should I part with a foil Mantis Rider then? Can that go up in the future, because after all it is one really powerful creature, but probably not outside standard.

Best advice to a new seller: pack your cards in penny sleeves, top loaders, and tape so that it's nearly impossible for them to be damaged in the mail. It seems lots of stores ship bare cards in envelopes or bubble envelopes and hope in vain for the best. I have had to get 2 refunds this month because of that, and missed out on two tournaments as well... Had to play second rate card versions of my deck so entry fee wasn't worth it to me. Its a real bummer that a tiny cost causes so much wasted time.

That's exactly how I ship trades on tappedout, so I'm good. Thanks for the advice man.

Dumping the standard stuff is a good call. None of those cards (except for Jeskai Ascendancy) will really see major play outside the format.
Linvala is an interesting card, and one that I've wanted for some time myself lol. She's been consistently rising in price, and while she seems like good material to reprint, I'm not sure how they'd shove her into a very unangelic block like Khans. Noble Hierarch, on the other hand, seems much more likely to be reprinted as the Khans set promotes multicolored play.
