I pulled a foil Deadeye Navigator today and looked up the prices, only to see the normal is $.9 and the foil is $9.96! Can someone explain to me why the foil is worth so much more? I can't imagine it's solely from edh, and I don't think I've ever seen it in a modern or legacy list.

It is almost exclusively from EDH. Some EDH players like to foil out their deck, and the Navigator is a rare from a set that wasn't widely opened. The copies are going to be somewhat hard to find.

It's legit just EDH.

Deadeye Navigator is one of the single best combo enablers in EDH. It's extremely good, and the foil is sought-after for that reason.

The card isn't even competitive in any other formats.

I guess the crazy good part is something I should have mentioned...

I'd trade for it, if that's an option :)
