Foil Kolaghan's Command

Currently at 24 tcgmid. Recently opened one. Was wondering if it is worth sitting on or if I should flip it. There isn't anything I'm particularly looking for at the moment, so if I were to flip it it would be for something more a bit more stable. Best offer I've gotten so far a spellskite. Just wondering what you guys thought

I would either use it as trade bait or flip it. As good as it is, none of its modes are particularly oppressive, and I can't see it maintaining its status as modern staple for more than maybe two years. That said, until it is no longer a staple, it'll probably be pretty good to hold on to, so it's really up to you.

Sorry, what? "None of its modes are particularly oppressive"?
ThatJunkMage, that's not why Kolaghan's Command is played. It's played because it is almost always a 2 for 1 when you cast it. Not only that, but it's a 2 for 1 at instant speed with four abilities that will almost always be relevant.
@ The OP: Keep it. The odds that it ever goes below than 20 are astronomically low.

I presently play a full four copies in my modern deck, I realise that the card is good and consistently a two for one. However, as creatures get better and better, the 2 damage gets worse and worse. As the meta shifts, people may turn away from Spellskite, which is the only thing i've ever killed with the artifact ability. Discarding a card is ok, but never anything that I want to spend mana on specifically, and the returning a creature is like drawing a card that only works sometimes. Yes, the card is good, and it will be good for the foreseeable future, but in the long term, it's not the best thing you can be doing. I'm just saying that I wouldn't bank on it being as good as it is currently forever.

No I think it pretty much is the best thing Jund can do with 3 mana besides lili. Honestly. It's not oppressive but it's just so solid. Reanimate goyf + discard is good. Discard and kill delver is good. Destroying two artifacts in affinity is good. It's just generically useful.

Fair enough. I guess it's just not Twin's ultimate move, which is where i'm speaking from.

I think that junk's point is that it isn't like cryptic command where you can easily play 4 of if your mana supports the triple U, because every damn combination on that can win a game out of nowhere. KC just provides a regular 2-1 that won't usually win you games you have no right to win. I don't see KC as a 4 of for anything, really. It is just damn useful. Mainboard smelt, instant speed discard, shock, and raise dead rolled into one is very good but not 4 of good.
