FTV: Angels

Any idea how much FTV: Angels will go for, whether to preorder, etc. I know that the MSRP is $34.99, but suspect it will cost a lot more to get it.
I'm guessing that it probably would just be a lot cheaper to buy the individual cards...
Thoughts on the Angels?
Pre-orders on ebay are currently about $80. Still cheaper than buying them all as singles (currently about $115). But not worth it, financially.

FTV Angels is a casual players product IMO. There's nothing in it that will drive spikes to buy multiples (or even one) so I would expect to be able to get it for $50 at most if your area sucks. My LGS is selling it at MSRP to people who buy stuff there all the time first, and to anyone else after. I'm just buying it for the foil Avacyn for my Nahiri EDH deck I believe :\

Yeh.. I 2nd that...
Id be tempted to buy the whole thing if Linvala was in it... As it stands now though.. I wouldnt touch that garbage.. :( I apologize if you disagree with how I feel about it though.. to me it is.

Just thinking about picking up Angels, maybe for a tribal EDH deck. Not sure, just thinking about adding to the collection. Just an easy way to get some cool looking ones all at once. At MSRP I would get it, for $80? Not a chance. That's why I was asking about what these would actually sell for (never bought a from the vaults set before). I don't know, my post was more of a musing thought.

you guys have never heard of baneslayer angel or entreat the angels? foil entreats for under $80 seems good, and foil baneslayers were $40-50 last i saw, so granted these are ftv, theyre still nice cards to have

It's just hype. Ftv foils never tend to much more expensive than their non-foil counterparts. Mostly because they're all printed at foil so there's nothing special about them. Also they have weird foiling. The fact that they're more expensive right now is just sellers trying to get the most out of the pre-order crowd. They'll drop.

No Linvala in Angels? Battle for Zendikar approaching?
I believe this spells everything out.

Don't fall for the entreat hype. Legacy miracle foils are so expensive because miracles is the best deck in legacy. Legacy players don't want FTV foils though. Trust me. I tried it with Terminus in ftv:annihilation
Compare $2.50 for ftv to $20 for avacyn

Legacy miracles doesn't even play entreat anymore. They all switched over to playing 4x Monastary Mentor as far as I'm aware.

wish12oz I'm not sure that is right. Going through legacy top 8 lists from the past month I see maindeck 1-2 entreats in uwr miracles, with no mention of mentor.

Serendipitous_Hummingbird Wasn't there just a GP or something where the finals were mentor miracles v entreat miracles and the mentor version won pretty decidedly? Maybe I'm not thinking right, but I swear that just happened. (And I checked BBD's 9th place list from the last Legacy Open.... 2 entreat main, 3 mentors in the side... maybe he was just trying to get his opponents to side out their removal)

wish12oz no you're right. The winner of GP Lille ran 4 mainboard mentors and no entreats in the 75.

in terms of FTV angels's impact, on a side note now would probably be a good time to pick up Linvala, Keeper of Silence
