FTV: Angels $50

I am looking for some advice on the release of the new FTV set. My local shop is selling them for $50, and I was wondering if it would be worth it. I have $40 in store credit so in theory it will only cost me $10. However, I started to think that maybe I could save the money to buy another fat pack when the Battle for Zendikar is released so I can get more of the full-art lands. I have been flowing other posts about the new FTV set and everyone says they never meet the price of the originally printed cards. I want the angels cards, but I also want to make sure they will retain some value if I were to choose to sell or trade them later on. Thanks in advance for the advice.
Thanks for the quick reply. I did forget to mention I mainly play EDH so that is what I would be using the cards for.

$50 is probably very near the low end for what you can get them for, I thnk my store is selling them for like 80. I'd pick it up, especially if you're going to use them.

I also think that $50 is a good price on the set, especially considering that Avacyn alone goes for $30. I'd buy.

absolutely buy it. The cards will be worth more than that, and avacyn and iona are ridiculous in commander.

$50 is an incredible deal. There's one on Ebay for $60, and the rest are $70+.

Fiddy is good! You're likely to get more value out of the FTV set than you are a fat pack.

I just pre-ordered FTV: Angels for $58. $50 is a steal.
I wish stores would sell this stuff for MSRP.

Thanks again everyone for the feedback. I will definitely be going tomorrow to snag one of the sets. Just wanted to make sure it was going to be worth my money.

My store is selling them for 35 bucks (msrp). Feels good man!
But I am in Alabama. The magic scene isn't that big. Usual fnm is like 12-15 people.

Them selling the set for MSRP is a good deal! I got mine today and kind of don't want to open it.....lol

I had a coupon and just picked mine up for 5% off of MSRP at $33.25. I didn't realize how much they were going for already.

I used to live near a store in MA that sold everything MSRP or below.

My LGS sold it at MSRP. They sold out pretty quickly. It was pretty funny. "Hey, is the From the Vault: Angels?" "Yeah, they're selling it at MSRP!" "Ahhh... excuse me, I'll be right back".

Going back to this.
An LGS store from where I live 30 minutes away are selling this $40+tax. I asked whether I can order multiple copies, and the store says they still have several left and I am able to order how many I want.
I usually stray away from ordering seal products, but, you think I will get my money back?
I am thinking of order 3 copies.1 for me to get the experience of opening a great sealed product1 for me to just have a sealed product as part of my collection.1 for me to keep for 2-3 years and resell it back and get my moneys back for buying all three.
How likely is it for a FTV product to go up in value in 2-3 years?

In 2-3 years it will probably be around $90. Most sealed FTV sets seem to stay around there. You can buy FTV 20 for around $120 right now and that includes Jace, the Mind Sculptor so I doubt FTV Angels would ever be worth more than that.

If you're an active EDH player and will get use out of them, it's a great buy. I'd sat go for it.
