FTV Angels Long-Term Economic Value

I know there have been threads about this, but I need immediate help,

I have a chance to buy 10 FTV Angels at $40 each.

Normally I don't really buy a lot of sealed products, but when I see amazon and tcgplayer and channelfireball prices of the FTV Angels, $40 is nothing compared to what other vendors are offering.

But I am afraid if the high price right now is due to hype and will maybe eventually decrease, or will it just continue to go slightly up.

Putting $400 on sealed product is a scary thing.

Buy it. In a year, you'll be glad you made that investment

Historically, sealed FTV product always sees a substantial boost in price after not being produced anymore. Here is an screenshot of the sealed FTV sets available on SCG, and here is the TCGPlayer listing of the sealed stuff.

All of the previous sets (barring FTV: Annihilation depending where you look) has seen serious price hikes for sealed boxes. FTV: Angels is going to have a lot of demand as Angels are a huge appeal to casuals and some of the FTV Angels are going to be demands for more competitive players as well.

If you have the cash for it now, and the patience to wait it out a year or two, buy them. Especially for $40 each, even for one that's a pretty good price.

Yeah I think I need self confirmation. I know it's a good investment, but it's too good to be true.

The store owner said they don't have the "one copy per one customer". He says, I can buy how many I want. and not only that, he says he is against gouging.

I saw how many boxes he have, and he STILL has 3 FULL shipping boxes of FTV Angels.

I said I'll come back tomorrow with cash at hand to buy all of it.
